@topsteer: Forza and Killer Instinct are both great.

Yes but the Windows Store versions are not.

Edit: I'm not saying anything bad about the games themselves, just that universal apps suck. I haven't played Killer Instinct but Id rather play the Xbox version than have to deal with the UWP bullshit.

Its hilarious that Windows games are the worst games for Windows. How do they even manage this crap?

Not really sure what you're getting at. Are you just a grumpy guy? Forza and Killer Instinct are both great. It's not like games you buy on Steam are immune to issues.

Games bought on the Windows Store treats games as apps that come with a load of dumb restrictions not seen in other versions bought elsewhere. Here is a good article about the limitations of games on the Windows Store.

@dave_tacitus: No wheel support right now. They've said they're working on adding it in the future.

@thatonedudenick: Really? I'm doing fine on a 970 and a I5 6500, everything turned up to the maximum at 1080 and as far I can tell it's close to 60 or close enough. I can't be certain about the framerate since you can't use any only a couple monitoring software on these terrible Windows apps but it feels solid.

Edit: If you're on AMD, I think they just released a driver for this game.

An Alpha is what I would recommend as well. It has basically a 750 Ti so newer games would still be an option.

If you go this route make sure it's the Alpha model that comes with Windows, other Alienware Steam Machines have just the SteamOS.

There's a sale going on right now in case you didn't know. I'll second Rocket League and it's part of the sale as well. There'll probably be a flash sale this weekend too if you wanna wait.

Wasn't Tomb Raider announced two E3s ago before Fallout was announced and when EA showed super early footage of Battlefront? I'm sure at that point nobody expected it to release close to those games. Also as others have said the Microsoft deal may have prevented them from moving it to next year but none of us know the details of the deal so it seems silly for so many people to call it an outright failure.

Edit: Anyways, this has been one of my most anticipated games since it was announced so I'm excited to play it sometime next year.

Nice. I love the recent trend of more Japanese games coming to Steam, especially from Square Enix and Koei Tecmo.

Nice to hear, those franchise changes sound pretty cool. I got back into Madden last year in a pretty big way so I'm really excited for this. I'll probably wait to get this or at least wait to play it until a couple weeks into the regular season so they'll have their early season roster updates sorted out.
