I'm slowly plodding my way through Dark Souls. I don't know how much further I'll be able to brute force before giving up on it. I don't feel like I'm becoming any better at the game, which is bumming me out. Grinding easy enemies for souls just so I can level up takes too long at this point to be any fun, but I guess that's the only solution.

I've been watching the stream up until the Capra Demon and couldn't believe my eyes when Patrick took him down on his first try. Good show, for sure.

I usually go with normal on my first playthrough, then bump it up to hard if I ever replay the game.

I don't think I will ever grow tired of pixel art when it's well executed.

I know I shouldn't, but after reading this blog (and comments) I now have this morbid curiousity to install Dark Messiah of Might and Magic on Steam.

And I still haven't played Jade Empire, even though I keep telling myself I will get to it soon. Curse you, neverending backlog!

Personally, I have little to no interest of ever purchasing an Early Access game. My backlog is huge enough as it is, no need to waste time playing unfinished games.

Haha, that was even worse than I had expected.

I have a save file in King's Bounty: The Legend that I think is pretty late in the game, but I haven't gone back to finish it yet. The one thing that burned me out is that there's no quick way to travel between where you are and say the nearest town, or any town really. It was fine early on in the game when my home town was always in close proximity to where I was, but now I'm so far away that it takes forever to get there. The battles were getting pretty tough too so you kinda always needed to have your army at full strength, which meant a lot of running back and forth to purchase new units every other battle.

Also, trying to remember which towns carried which units was a pain the ass. At some point I stopped caring and just bought whatever units that were available nearest to me.

Not so much in retail stores, but I find it really hard to pass on a good Steam deal if it's a game I've heard good things about.
