Best Games With Bullet Time

Fact: Everything looks 100% cooler and more badass in slow motion. Don't believe me? Go play any of the following games and see for yourself. Play games in slow motion, and look like a badass while doing it.

NOTE: THERE IS NOT AN ORDER TO THIS LIST, AND EACH GAME IS RANDOMLY RANKED AND DEFINITELY NOT BASED ON QUALITY!
Thank You

List items

  • The grand-daddy of all forms of video game Bullet Time, there is still no game with Bullet-Time that can top Max Payne. There's just something special about the slow motion dives and dodges here that no other game has done to quite the same effect.

  • Western films have always had some awesome shootouts, and among the best are the ones that play out in slow-motion. Rockstar realizes this, and was nice enough to implement it's own for of Bullet-Time (called Dead Aim) so we really can relive all our favorite western moments.

  • The First Encounter Assault Recon (F.E.A.R.) has some pretty big problems to deal with. You know, problems like creepy monsters and blood-thirsty little girls with super natural powers. Thankfully, the point man has super human reflexes that make it seem like the world's in slow motion. Yeah, that's just a fancy way of saying Bullet Time, but it's still pretty awesome.

  • Never has a game put such a focus on slow motion shooting. Not even Max Payne! Stranglehold may not be the best game ever made, but it certainly has some stylish shootouts. Fully destructible environments combined with Tequila's flashy way of navigating the environment is already pretty cool. But the game goes farther with slow-motion Tequila Time (another name for Bullet-Time). It's a stylish, flashy action game, and since it's only five or six hours long, it's a great choice for a rental.

  • TimeShift gives you a lot of other time-bending abilities, but, again, slow motion just makes everything more badass. Just watching the reactions on an enemy's face as you prepare to blast him with a shotgun is priceless. Like Stranglehold, the game is pretty short, but is a decent rental if your looking for some slow-mo.

  • One of the most under-appreciated games in the history of interactive entertainment, Viewtiful Joe's slow motion mayhem is among the most stylish adventures ever burned on to a disk. It's a beat-em-up for the modern times, and few games look quite as original, artistic, and full of style as Viewtiful Joe. I would expect no less from the great Hideki Kamiya, the mastermind behind masterpieces like Devil May Cry, Okami, and Bayonetta.

  • Now here's a game that's based on a super stylish action movie that is based on a super stylish graphic novel. Despite it's short length (and I mean short. One could conquer this in four hours, maybe less), Wanted is a fun action game that not only lets you curve bullets, but curve bullets in slow-motion. HELL YEAH!
