As a guy who used to spend much of my free time drawing, and have for years now.. ceased to pick up a pencil. I really have to say it felt kinda good to try and have a little bit of expression through my new hobby, making machinima videos. It was a relatively small undertaking, but it felt good nonetheless. It has been a while coming (and after finally getting off my ass), I think I may have found my outlet. It is kind of funny how you don't tend to notice how badly you miss an aspect of your life once it is gone. Maybe it is just mental repression of sorts? 
 
        I think my biggest problem and the cause of my dropping art altogether, was the fact I spent so much time staring blankly at the paper. When I wasn't fighting myself over what to draw I was beating myself up over how bad i thought certain small details were. Truth be told,  most of my work ended up in the trash due to me being overly critical of what I did. Even old published/showed works I hated for the dumbest reasons (even though obviously they were noticed and at times awarded honors). Do you ever wish you could go back and bitch-slap your younger self and tell them to wake the fuck up?  
  
        Older and hopefully wiser by now..kinda maybe? Seems like 10 years worth of writer's (drawer's?) block when I think about it. It kind of make me laugh in hindsight actually, then again, nobody else will ever think less of you than you can think of yourself. Hell who knows, maybe undertaking a few other creative things will lead me back to my roots. I still have all my old drawing stuff, so possibly the rut might finally come to an end. Whats that old saying anyway.. Artists either die or go batshit crazy? Heres to going crazy!

Edit: resynced a couple things and what not. About to start work on a new video... Still trying to figure out exactly what to put to music. Do have a few things in mind, so I will keep you posted.
