Be warned: I have been tasked with matchmaking for all of y'all who note yourselves as available on the team-up sheet. I'll be kicking that effort off closer to the jam start, but the more information you put on that sheet, the more I can help you find the team that may or may not be of your dreams.

(hopefully you find a good team either way)

@falconer is absolutely correct. I'll be booting out people who have 0 XP and are under level 30 in just over an hour, and intend to repeat that every Saturday Sunday where the club's full, somewhere between 11 AM - 2 PM PDT (basically just before the club ladder resets).

Edit: People over level 30 aren't safe to sit around with 0 XP, either, this is just a starting point. I'll probably be logging inactives over 30 and see if they continue not to play.

I've updated the brackets and finalized the tournament on Challonge. Congratulations to Close, But No Crossbar for an outstanding performance throughout the tournament!

My thanks to everyone who participated, as well. This tournament ran very smoothly, and it's thanks to all of you for keeping up with the matches and scheduling. You gave me full confidence that our great Giant Bomb community can withstand the rigors of a proper tournament, and so there will definitely be another Rocket League tournament coming soon using the standard 3v3 car soccer settings. I'm planning to schedule it so it starts shortly after PAX East, so keep an eye around here at that time.

I hope to see a lot more of you joining the fray then!

The PMs are sent out, the meager 5-choice prediction brackets are set, it's wild card round time!

Matches must be completed by March 13th at 11:59 EDT. Good luck, everyone!

The group stage is officially over! A single match did not take place, but since one team contacted me about scheduling issues and the other team didn't contact me at all, that match was resolved in the favor of the team that spoke up.

Congratulations to the six teams that advanced! I've tinkered with the bracket to ensure minimal rematches while sticking as close to the rankings as possible.

Official match PMs will go out later today in the afternoon. For everyone else, participant or otherwise, you may now predict the final outcomes on the bracket page until I send those PMs out. Just go to the official brackets at http://challonge.com/gbsnowday to submit your picks.

@casinoghostt: I was just waiting for someone to speak up with last week's results so I could update that post (hadn't seen it myself). Done!

A friendly reminder that you have just under 12 hours to complete your matches and get the results in for round 2! If there's any scheduling issues (beyond the ones already mentioned to me), let me know as soon as possible.

Barring any unforeseen delays, the final stage of the tournament will begin tomorrow, where the remaining 6 teams are reduced to 4.

@tigerbot: Yeah, good eye: That was always the intent, since set wins alone can't be broken by teams with three wins and it'd make that tiebreak pointless. I just noticed it was off after the last group of matches and switched it from number to percentage.
