@razorzxz
True, I just think trying to use the whole cast or something is crazy.

Well recently me and my brother were at it again, this time about the concept of using multiple characters in fighting games, we mainly play Blazblue or MVC3 and he likes to use multiple characters all the time, not really a problem, except he kinda gets mad when he loses, my view is that it is good to USE all the characters at least once to get a better feel for them and the game, but you should not try to main more than 3 depending on the game. My brother's view is that it is disrespectful to the company and a waste of money to buy a fighting game to only play as 1 or 2 characters competitively. He also says it gives him a better strategy when fighting against the character. I keep on telling him how rediculous it would be to be able to use every character just as well as your main but he believes it is practical. My main question is in your opinions how many characters should one try to use on a competitive level? And how many is too much, or is it common for people to main more than 2 or 3 characters at a time? What are your views on the subject?

This game looks awesome! Thanks for telling me about it. I'll have to check out the original siren and Amnesia too. I love horro games, Clock tower and Haunting ground still give me chills.

ArcSys games have better netcode, so one point on their side.

Yeah best input lag code. It ain't GGPO but they got sort of the next best thing.

I really like stuff from ArcSys. In terms of the community, Capcom is larger but thank god for Dustloop representing ArcSys games in North America.

Yes Dustloop is one of my main sites. I love those guys.

@Ygg:
I missed that TNT thing what did they say? I know Blazblue gets a lot of crap for no real reason.

If it would be like any other action or adventure type game only with the character being gay?  Sure, now if it was some kind of dating game or something liek that then no only because i'm not gay and I am not interested in that kind of romance storyline, albeit that I watch Degrassi and they have gay characters on there, it's not the main focus. It would be very tricky on how they would have to do it in order for the character's homosexuality to stand out and yet not have it be a huge slap in the face diverting me from the games main story. It would be the same to me if it were a game with a lesbian main character or a character that was racist ect. As long as the main point of the game was not: Make out with this guy, make out with this girl, commit this hate crom ect. It would be all good with me. The only other reason I could see anyone not wanting to play a good game with a gay protagonist is if they had a big case of homophobia.

Besides it's not like there aren't already plenty of games, shows and movies where there are two striaght main characters that get made out to be gay (Gears of war, street fighter, naruto) So in short yes, if it was good, or if they made it interesting enough. Now if we are talking Medal gear solid 4 style kind of game where it is almost completely story based and full of cutscenes, then it would have to be a pretty good story and not romance (At least not the main point like Catherine or something) nothing against gays it just wouldn't be my kind of game. Hope I didn't offend anyone with this.

For a long time now me and my brother have argued about Street fighter being diverse or not, I think it is but he thinks half the characters play the same, the main argument is ry and Ken "Ken is just ryu but with fire" or something like that. I believe that street fighter characters are unique yes moves are similar, but they play different. I was hoping someone can give me a good explaination on how Street fighter characters don't all play the exact same just because a lot of them have uppercuts and hadokens of some kind. I didn't feel this needed to be a thread so I made it a blog.

I often woundered about this, both have great fighting games, however I want to know your guy''s opinions on each of the following catagories

1. Which Company offers better service (Listens to audience, patches, better deals ect)

2. Better games

3. Better Prices

4. Better DLC

5. More balanced gameplay

6. Most tournament ready games

7. Better character selection (In terms of unique character design, amount of characters, and diversity of character's gameplay ect.)

8. Which one do you simply prefer most?
