The surprise is that Gordon Freeman faces off against GlaDOS after the storyline of both Half-Life & Portal merge into 1 amazing game.

So my question is... after the end credits, will they start over for the Renegade play-through?

Even though it looked like ass, had clunky controls & a boring empty open-world... I still really enjoyed that game. The story was interesting, with some really cool missions. My memory is fuzzy as I played it so long ago, but I feel like there was one that had you racing through canyons on chuck-wagons & shooting barrels of Gunpowder getting hurled at you. SO AWESOME!

If Red Dead hits the good story/mission stuff that GUN had & combines it with the GTA polish & open-world, then this is going to be a great game!

When I was in high-school (back in 98-2001), it was common in our school for kids to refer to things as being either "MOST BEST!!" or "MOST WORST!!"

They never put out Beatles SE with Rockband 1 hardware, did they? And even if they did... no USB hub?

Have you actually recieved the order yet? Cause this sounds very much like it must be a used or open-boxed copy of the game. It's not a horrible deal even if it IS used... but just seems like a buyer beware type of situation. Make sure you know what you're buying before getting overly excited.

This thread boggles my mind!  I'm sure that many of you MUST be joking.
I fully expected this thread to be full of shovel-ware crap, but there are some seriously good games being mentioned here....

Gears 2? Bad Company 1/2? RE5? God of War? Fallout 3?
WHAT!?

I get that even the best games aren't for everybody, but seriously... You're going to drop $60 and then turn these great games off after 1 minute? You're seriously not even going to give these games the amount of time it took to read this thread?
Why do you people even play games?

[Edit] - to be clear, I am not trying to troll. I just seriously don't understand how this happens.

I rarely notice any lag in this game (360 version). However, I've noticed lots of instances of teleporting which seems to happen in two very specific situations.

1. Seems to happen often while sprinting and trying to jump over objects like barriers/pipes/etc. It often teleports you back  a few steps and may take a few tries before it works.
2. Often happens while trying to knife somebody when they are JUST near the edge of your range. The knife animation will play & make the sound like it hit them, but it will miss.

It's hard to describe specifically how these situations feel in the game, but I think anybody who's played a bunch knows exactly what I'm talking about. Both are very annoying, but I don't think it's lag. It seems like it could be by design to slow things down a bit and prevent people from "bunny-hopping" around the map & knifing everybody within a split-second of bumping into them.

Both of these situations can tend to happen when in frantic, close-quarters fighting, especially if you jump around a lot. Both MW2 and TF2 (which are both great games) tend to thrive in close-quarters and can be very "twitchy" & fast-paced. So if the OP is used to playing that style in Bad Company 2, that could explain the "lag" that he is referring to. The game seems to be trying to slow the pace down a bit.

The best way to do health care is a very socialist way so that everyone can get healthcare when they need it without waiting for months, or by having a mix of private and public healthcare. Thats the problem with Canada.. free health care is awesome, but when you need it.. you are often waiting a long time. But at least you get it, and if its an emergency they are going to save you obviously. The problem with the USA is that you can pay for healthcare, and then when you need it, be denied. The fact that anyone would want to keep that is insane. "

You hit the nail on the head!
There needs to be a mix of both private & public, so that if you are willing/able to pay, then you can get the best healthcare possible (by best, I really mean quickest)... But if you CAN'T afford it, you can still get treatment. You just may have to wait longer to recieve it.
