The original is iconic ofc, but Luminist (the dude who did all the analog synth remakes of the Metroid OST) has made my favorite version of the Corneria theme.
Also, @janman, sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but I'd recommend playing Pokemon Snap using an emulator with save states. If I remember correctly, throughout that game, there's a lot of redoing the same level over and over again just to get certain specific trick shots and to see all the possible Pokemon. It can be pretty frustrating to have to do an entire course just for one snapshot and then miss it because the controls aren't great. I think it would be cool to play a course normally a few times until you get stuck on a difficult shot and then just save state to right before the difficult shot so you can immediately retry it instead of having to play the entire level over and over again. Do others agree with this assessment?
Seconded. My pitch for a besieged feature would be to have two Beasters trying to solve the same level within a time limit similar to a cooking competition show like Chopped or Iron Chef. I like the idea of the camera switching between each of the contestants' screens while they're all trying to build/find their own solution, with commentary from the control room. At the end of the time limit, they present their solution to the judge and are graded on effectiveness (how well/quickly they achieve the goal), presentation (how aesthetically pleasing their creation is), and creativity (how wacky was their solution). You could also have rules that correspond to required parts similar to the required ingredients on the cooking shows.
This could be really cool to see, but there would probably be a lot of prep involved since everyone would have to be somewhat familiar with the game (and i'm sure there would need to be a bunch of other prep behind the scenes). In any case, I'd be down for more Besiege on the site in any form!
