I think Abby is right about Tetris Effect and that's all I'm gonna say. It's Tetris.
Well now I have this soundtrack permanently stuck in my head again. Thanks, Jeff, can't wait for the next one.
Considering I burned out before finishing Origins, the extreme similarity of this one doesn't exactly make me want to run out and buy it
Ugh, I know it takes a lot to make a game, but stuff like Scum seems so cynically targeted at getting streamers to do dumb stuff with it and get people to buy it that way. Is the game good? Doesn't matter, your favorite streamer is playing it
So Dan likes this game? Bit confused
I had a smile on my face throughout this whole thing.
I thought Barlog's answer to Brad's question about crunch and employee work hours was pretty clueless and misses the point raised by people like Josh Sawyer in his talk at Reboot Develop this month.
If team leaders or a significant chunk of a team decide to work crazy hours, everyone is going to feel pressured to work crazy hours. From a game director's perspective, it's in his interest to just believe that "everyone is so enthusiastic and committed to the game they're willing to kill themselves", rather than what is probably the truth. That is, a large chunk of people are afraid to speak up about the crazy hours for fear of it impacting their careers. This is the kind of thinking that leads to burnout and people leaving the industry.
100% this. I'm glad Brad asked the question but I wish he had pressed Barlog a little more on what his response implies. If that means no Cory Barlog on GB in the future, so be it.
I added War of the Roses to my Letterboxd watchlist after watching this here Breaking Brad. So that's a thing.
For everyone saying 'should have watched 6'...I watched seven and there's still a cliffhanger. There's no good stopping point. It's almost like it was designed that way or something.
Looks like one to pick up on sale. I like the Ubisoft open world thing but I'm still working through AC: Origins and that's gonna keep me busy for awhile
