Why can't people understand that some people don't like some popular games, just because they are not their cup of tea.  not because they are fanboys or because they think not like popular games makes them cool. I see it a thousand times a day on here and other sites. One example being I really didn't enjoy playing GTA 4. 
I thought the story was awful and the controls even worse, but anytime I say so I get called an idiot or there is something wrong with me, or people saying " yeah your really cool hate a popular game asshole." All for just having a difference of option. I love really all popular games assassins creed, call of duty awesome past GTA games I liked them just not the 4th one. 
 
Another time a guy didn't like bioshock. People jump on him shout your a moron, how dare you not like that masterpiece.

Um, I do what you're talking about: i dislike games for understandable reasons I've discovered myself.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on a game, but sometimes it is all in the manner in which that opinion is expressed. 

I've stated many times how I didn't like GTA IV on these forums and no one bothered me at all. There's more Wii hate than anything.

I thought Borderlands was absolute trash. Diablo II's loot system is leagues ahead of it.

Because your argument is illogical. You need to back up what you're saying. GTA IV had the best story of this generation by far. Yeah, I said it. What didn't you like about it? It's quite hard to defend the OP because of his inability to distinguish between option and opinion, but I'd be a real jerk if I pointed that out, now wouldn't I?
 
Seriously though, it's the internet. People get very passionate on the internet, especially when they feel something is being shoved down their throats. I felt exactly that way about Persona 4, Modern Warfare 2 and GTAIV, but at the same time I think people who don't like BioShock, Fable II or TES4: Oblivion, and people that claims Street Fighter IV is vastly superior to other great fighting games like Virtua Fighter, are, quite frankly, assholes. The Bombcast crew has the same tendencies. It was very telling listening to Jeff fighting to defend GTAIV after Jared and Brad started talking some shit about it, and Ryan's dismay over the critical acclaim of Demon's Souls are stems from the same root. Or how about Jeff's hatred of Soulcalibur, counterbalanced with his adoration for all things Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter. Vinny has also never had a good thing to say about Oblivion, Brad is outspoken against GTAIV, and Jeff and Ryan have both bemoaned the existence and relative success of Dynasty Warriors and Monster Hunter. Sometime people go against the flow of the river. Jeff didn't care for Crysis, Half-Life 2 and Metroid Prime, three of the highest rated games ever.

it is something to do when u see somebody that doesn't like a game. i don't like gears of war one or two. i did like 2 better then one. they are still games i dont' like. the only thing that i liked was the chainsaw kills. some other sites u might get beat up for saying u hate popular games.

I hate Call of Duty games. FPS are not my thing, and they never have been. Yet people think I'm a loser for not playing Call of Duty, Left 4 Dead etc. I've been told I'm "not a gamer" for not liking Resident Evil 5 :P
