@xemid I've been having the same issue which I assume is related to the video player update and issues that Rorie mentions. I was under the assumption that the developer would need to fix it. If you are willing to deal with ads, all the new stuff is on YouTube.

GB has been a huge part of my life since 2008. My subscription is not enough to pay for the countless hours of entertainment I have received. Thanks to all GB folks current and former!

I didn't play the game myself, but watched several streamers. One full playthrough and others at key moments in the game to see how they reacted. Clearly too much time on my hands. What I take from the gameplay is that it doesn't evolve much over time and the combat sequences are too long and too frequent. The presentation overall is top notch as expected by ND. The graphics, environments, spectacle, character animations, and voice work are best in class. While I find the revenge story to lack inspiration, I'm not sure what other direction they could have gone. It did feel like it could have ended in like 5 different scenes. Maybe that is an editing decision or wanting to just keep all the content they worked on forever. I find there to be some puzzling aspects to the story as well. First, Joel and Tommy saved Abby's life before they took out Joel. Seems like that could have been done better. I'm also so confused about how they just know that there is no other doctor alive that could come up with a vaccine and how they just know that Ellie is the only one immune. Both of those things seem implausible. Maybe I'm overthinking it, but odds just don't usually work like that. As a final note, I watched the playthroughs as I was never going to play through this game myself and I'm glad I didn't.

Hey y'all,

I'm 35 and love GB. I lost video games in my life for a time, but GB brought it back for me. I still seem to watch more QL's than actually playing games, but I'm still excited about new and interesting games. I am a sports junkie and it's the only reason I still pay for cable. I live in Colorado, love the great outdoors and beer. GB has an amazing community and I still find it amazing that being so connected with a group of people that make internet videos/content can be emotionally moving. RIP RTD

I'm far removed from college and find that I would have gone about it a wholly different way had I known what I know now. That doesn't really help, but just some perspective. The advice given makes complete sense and if you can manage less hours, I believe it will do wonders. A statement that I have come across in the working world, "slow down to go fast" is something I think of here. The idea of spending quality time now in order to more productive as a result echoes with me and my sensibilities. Not sure if that is helpful or sounds like meaningless junk.

I would generally not comment on a thread such as this, or most threads. I find it very easy to get myself worked up at times about many social issues. That being said, I am enjoying the atmosphere of this thread. I hope I live to see times where equality is the norm across races, genders, religions and sexual orientation. My general thought is, if your beliefs or actions do not negatively affect others, what is the problem? I understand that people have strong convictions about many different issues. The thing that I feel grounds me the most and keeps me somewhat humble is to keep things in perspective. To think about the position I am in and how, for me, it is not so bad. Pretty good when you look at the rest of the world. Looking at the universe, forget it. That is an extreme example. I think this perspective is important for me when thinking about what issues I really want to be passionate about. I get very upset when I see one group of people being so hateful and disrespectful to another for no good reason that I can discern. I truly believe that this country I live in, the USA, can and should do so much more to promote positive social progress. I won't pretend to have good answers and this is mostly me rambling. Happy to share my thoughts and thanks to the rest who are willing to share.

I couldn't come up with my favorite moment before, but this remix of a dumb Kinect game had me laughing my ass off.
