haha, thanks Matthew. I was able to hear it after I enabled autoplay and refreshed the page. But for most users, their browser will likely prevent auto-play by default so a lot of people won't be aware that there should be audio at all. I know things are busy around sale time, and this is super not important so no rush. Thanks!

After renewing my subscription, I saw the confetti and realised I couldn't hear the nice piece of audio that usually plays. I figured it was muted, so I turned my laptop volume up but still didn't hear anything.

I'm using Firefox 66.0.4 for Mac. Here's the browser console:

And here's the source of the problem:

Enabling autoplay fixed the issue.

It's a real shame. I know there's not much you can do to make the audio auto-play properly like it used to. This is an end-user browser issue. But maybe it would be possible to have a little play button with the word "surprise" or something, so that a user interaction triggers the audio and we can hear it if we want to without having to dig into the brower's page settings?

Hey all :) Thank you for the rich API. The apps that it's enabled are great and really add to the enjoyment of Giant Bomb. Would it be possible for the API to tell apps where a user left off on a video, and for apps to tell the API where the user left off? I like being able to continue where I left off when I use the site, and I can do it on the apps as well - but the information isn't shared across the services.

That way I could watch a video on the site or on the app, and when I switch to a different app or back to the site I can continue where I left off. This would of course require the app developers to update the apps with the feature, and it's probably more complicated than I would hope? Would love your thoughts. Thanks!

@questengine: Amazing! I've downloaded your page and added it to the archive.org collection.

Great run Derek - Hope to see you running this at a marathon event! Those loading screens are a perfect opportunity for donations... I especially enjoyed the first kill in Paris, the way you destroyed the virus in Sapienza, and the way you choked out the bodyguard right beside those two other guards in Hokkaido.

I just updated to Kodi 16.0 and the GB addon doesn't work. It opens, but no folders are displayed.

I uninstalled the addon, and installed the latest version from https://github.com/jimporter/giantbomb-kodi/releases (Nov 22 2015) but the issue persists.

Is it likely to be updated for the new version of Kodi? Or is this just me? I'm using OSMC on Raspberry Pi2, so I'm probably in a minority.

I installed openelec, which is running kodi v14. I won't bother updating Kodi ever again, as updating kodi always just seems to break stuff and doesn't add any nice features. Now I have a functioning version of BBC iplayer too, which didn't work since Kodi v15!

Thanks @dudeglove and @mracoon for your replies to this topic. I didn't see them until now.

Yeah, I was careful not to make too many edits in a short space of time, and tried to edit as much as I could at a time before submitting. This actually led to an amusing moment when I lost about 90 minutes of work and almost gave up completely! There is certainly no plagiarism; I am very careful to write everything from scratch, referencing all my sources.

Thanks for showing me how to find more detailed comment on why edits are denied. That's really helpful.

Ok, in future I will send a PM to the mods for issues like this. Just to close this off, I'd like to reiterate that it's a real shame the first game listed in the Team Fortress franchise has to be Team Fortress Classic.

Blow said in this interview that the piss jar was a joke, and not really piss. His actual tweet said: 'Here is another thing I helped make, to help finish The Witness’ - which is absolutely true. He made that jar so it could feature in this part of the game. So weird.

I was glad to find out that there was no crunch involved to make this game. According to that article I linked, the team had "lenient working hours. They generally turned up by about 10:30am. Thursdays and Fridays were optional.".

Here's the puzzle. It looks quite complicated at first. (Spoilers begin below this screenshot)

After being through the ringer with these, and knowing that I'd probably have to swap all the shape locations around to find a solution, I set about my usual task of drawing all over the screenshot in mspaint. How many possible configurations could there be, I wondered...

All you have to do is plonk down the pieces where they're marked on the panel. Simple as that.

Unbelievable! When I tried to fit the pieces in my own configuration, it wouldn't work. Did Blow know that there's only one possible fit with this collection of pieces? Is there only one possible fit? Did anybody else find this solution disarming and hilarious?
