Jesus what ever it is you got sounds horrendous. 5 months may seem like a long time but you'll get there, stay positive about it man. All the best with your recovery.

I'd probably stick with games if it's possible to enjoy them in some fashion. At the least I'd still follow Giant Bomb's content (as I come here more for the entertainment than the games). But I'd also start to exercise more, get out a bit and maybe even take up a sport.

There's always plenty of good TV shows and movies to watch. Plus there are heaps of podcasts around about all sorts of interesting shit too. Audiobooks would be great as well.

I've had 3.14159265 memorized for years since I use Pi a lot for music and in OpenOffice Calc - which as far as I can tell doesn't have a built-in 'pi' constant - and eight decimal places is precise enough for just about anything.

On a side note, I made an experimental piece of music that's the first two hundred digits of pi dialed on a DTMF phone. It's about as un-listenable as that sounds.

You know, I was actually kind of disappointed when it didn't connect to anything.

Max Payne I think is the only franchise of more than 2 games that I can say I've definitively played and completed each game.

The next would be Grand Theft Auto, though I didn't complete the very first game (and didn't really play a whole lot of it). I'm also sitll waiting on GTA 5 to come to PC.

I guess I will include Portal and Alan Wake as other people have included them.

Also I've played and completed the two Mafia games.

That's about it I think.

Alt+F1 - Though I'm about to change this. I've never really been into F1 but I was talking to someone about motor racing on the weekend and decided I'd give it a go, so I downloaded all the episodes when I got home. Will start listening soon. I also recorded the latest race. I really like Drew and Danny so I'm sure it'll be somewhat entertaining at least, even if F1 doesn't catch on with me.

Bombin' the A.M. - I think I watched one episode when it first started, thought it was alright, but I've just never bothered to keep watching it. Not for any particular reason.

8-4 Play - I listened to this once years ago thinking the Bomb crew had something to do with it, and quickly realised they don't. I kind of feel bad about not giving it a chance though.

Quick Look EX - Unless it's something that looks immediately interesting I generally don't bother.

DOTA - I watched a few of these in the original run but kinda stopped at some point. I still hold some level of interest in the game as I used to play a bit of it.

I watch most of the Spookin' with Scoops, but still haven't made it through all of the P.T. episode because it's just too damn scary for me. Bit by bit, I'll make it to the end.

I also skim through Worth Reading but usually there is at least one article that will stand out to me and I'll read that. It's a good feature. So is Worth Playing. I find it a bit of a shame that people don't watch that. It's not very long and Patrick usually finds some cool stuff that you probably won't see elsewhere.

But I watch most quick looks, and I don't miss an episode of the bombcast, UPF, the powerbombcast or box office bomb.

Huh I thought there was something missing. I watched it this morning and yeah there didn't appear to be anything wrong with the video, must have been the addresses, but then I didn't really notice them myself.

Boy it sure took Apple long enough to finally make a bigger phone. It also took then long enough to finally give consumers a choice.

Though now they haven't got anything smaller than the 4.7 inch, proving they still have no clue when it comes to phone sizes.

4.7 inch is a good size once you get used to it (I own a Nokia Lumia 625) but not everybody will like it.

Still overpriced. Still nothing innovative or even interesting.

Also holy shit people, who gives a fuck if it's entirely video game related or not. Either state your opinion on the news or just move on.

I bought The Witcher a few months before the second game was released and still haven't finished it. It was one of the first and few proper RPGs I've played and was actually really enjoying it even through all the swamp parts in chapter 2 that everybody hates.

I reached the very beginning of chapter 3 (where people say it gets even better) and for some reason I stopped. I didn't necessarily want to stop. I think I just bought another game at the time and got sucked into that and unfortunately never got around to getting back into The Witcher.

I still have the save files after all this time, specifically making sure I brought it over on the couple of re-formats I've done. But at this point I don't know if I would prefer starting over. I did put a fair bit of time into it and even completed pretty much every side quest I had available to me, including all the ones in the swamp.

I'd consider doing it all again, though perhaps leaving some side quests out. Either way, I've been tempted dozens of times to buy The WItcher 2 on sale at very low prices but never have because I so very much want to finish the first game. Maybe soon I finally will. Thanks for the write-up, you've inspired me.
