Drug Cartel-Gaming Concept

A Drug cartel is a criminal organization that survives and profits by dealing drugs often illegal and dangerous drugs like cocaine and heroin but they can also deal arms (weapons) and do other criminal activities such as trafficking.They use drugs either by selling them illegally or producing them by growing and making them themselves so it is not surprising some cartel members are drug users. Cartel Members are usually well armed and have access to military-grad and illegal weapons due to the amount of profit they make also body armors and military as well as civilian vehicles. Cartels usually control physical areas and other departments like commercial products some even hire a security force to assist them. They are likely to be opposed by Federal Governments due to their ruthlessness or anti-drug and crime laws. Cartels are very violent and act in ways similar to terrorists where they preform gruesome executions and attacks in order to threaten their foes into submission or just simply because they want to. Cartels are similar to but are more organized then common street gangs and can often escape situations by bribing their enemies. Infamous real life cartels are mostly known for their control of Mexico but in gaming cartels have also made an appearance often of a time appearing as an enemy. Since these criminals don't show mercy and illegally trade they have been targets of intelligence agencies, police forces as well as military units. Unlike Mercenaries, Cartels work for themselves and are often are in competition or even war with other cartels. They can be considered as powerful criminals above street gangs but below Mafia organizations.
