Because Jeff, at the end of the day, no matter how many laws that could get set up, wont stop anybody from doing what they want to do if they are motivated.
I still don't fully understand the micro transaction thing. Just don't buy it, no one is putting a gun to you or your kids head and demanding you to buy a micro transaction. As a parent, tell your son/daughter to not buy something without asking, teach them the consequences of what will happen if you do buy without asking. This seems like an over complicated issue. However, I do think it is important to inform parents who aren't video game/tech savvy the importance of what they are getting for there kids.
That was an awesome first day! excited to see what the rest of the week holds. My only thought on it however is at the end, I have always found it interesting when some people like to point out the wrongs in human history when in the end we are most likely doing something wrong ourselves that wont be acceptable in the future. But overall, I enjoyed these four hours of debate and gave me good insight on some of these games and I think I might go and play some of them again because of it, thanks Giant Bomb Crew!
I enjoyed the ending of this podcast. I have always been one to ask questions if I don't understand something and have never been afraid of not knowing something. Intelligence manifests itself in different ways. Some people know more about a subject then someone else. We are all intelligent in some subjects and stupid as hell in others. I always have appreciated you Dan, over the many years listening and watching Giant Bomb content, you have always been one of my favorites to listen to. I hope you have a Merry Christmas and New Year!
