Completed Titles 2013

Annual Backlog -

  • Etrian Odyssey: The Millennium Girl
  • Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance
  • Kid Icarus: Uprising
  • Project X Zone
  • Tales of the Abyss
  • Hyperdimension Neptunia
  • Tales of Xillia

I swear this list just gets longer and longer every year.

List items

  • Having stopped playing at the Heaven stage in the original PS2 title, this was a much needed game to complete. With the additional content (hell yeah scooters), battle mechanics, and additional Arcana (Marie's my new favorite girl), this game was my favorite completed title of the year.

  • Now if you haven't noticed I'm quite the Persona fanboy, and with cast from Persona 3 and Persona 4 duking it out, how could I not be on board? Great fighter mechanics from ARC Sys as always, I'll be looking forward to Blazblue:CP next year.

  • This being my third "Tales of" title completed, behind Symphonia and Vesperia I has some high expectations. Of the three, this is probably my least favorite not to say that it was a bad game by any means. I really enjoyed the title system in this game, as well as the combat. The story just didn't resonate as well as the other titles in the series did for me. Still working on Abyss for the 3DS and Xillia.

  • Had to import this puppy, but man was it worth it. Haseo Xth form is just way too sweet. Now if we could just get a new .hack series actually translated and brought over to the US. I can only replay .Hack G.U. so many times... Who am I kidding, I could replay that game a hundred times and still love it.

  • After beating the prequel, a few months before the game's release I new I had to play the sequel. Great puzzles and story telling. Jumping between branches made the game a much more enjoyable experience, nobody likes reviewing the same scenes over and over again to play through all the content. Great game.

  • After playing a couple of the fan translated games on the PSP this year, this was simply put a no-brainer. The game looks stunning on the PS3 and the song selection is amazing. It's hard to believe this was the first Vocaloid game relased outside of the JP.

  • This thing had been on my backlog for just over three years before I finished it, and boy am I glad I did. I forgot just how engaging the story was and how great all the characters are. I love how the series as a whole is really shaping up, need to get the next two games under my belt so I can play Dual Destinies. Because I need me some 3D, rated M, Phoenix Wright Justice.

  • I've owned the original copy of this game since I was a wee lad and never once have I completed it all the way through. Picked up a digital copy for my 3DS and knocked this sucker out in a weekend. Still no comparison to Oracle of Ages, but a great classic Zelda game none the less.

  • Almost forgot about this gem. Still need to pick up Book of Shadows, but I really loved the narrative of this game.

  • Only reason this is here is for the sheer amount of time it took me to get to level 30.

  • Another game that you can't really "beat", but I did manage to hit level 10 with all the Heros.
