Man that was harder than I thought it would be. I went with the albums that I have listened to the most, and can still listen to after hours of repeat listenings.
I don’t see any benefit to leaks. You find out a game is in development, but rarely get anything more than a couple of images that tell you nothing about the game, and you can tell that some of the wind has left the sails of the spokesman that actually gives you the info at the event they had carefully planned.
Either way you still have to wait for the release. So I would say leaks are on average a bad thing. Sometimes the developers are responsible for the leaks, and in those instances leaks are usually used as more of a way to gauge reactions, which are the only cases where leaks don’t really harm anything.
I mean, I thought the mother was a distraction. Having no real clue as to who she was, made every mention of her distracting. I kept wondering who she was, and how she got with Kratos, but not in fascination and more in a “why should I care?” way. If there was one narrative failing for me it was never feeling like she really mattered, and the ending only made me feel like everything was how it should be.
I never expected to enjoy a God of War game, so hats off to the people that made it. I didn’t think the story was that great, though. Pretty boiler plate to me, and it took too long to get to certain beats.
@theoriginalatlas: I assume some of that is aimed at me, if not I apologize. I didn’t defend the cancellation, with my comment about how she’s hard to be around. I didn’t defend the cancellation at all really. I’m pretty sure they canceled the show, because legally they can’t do it without her.
The question is, can the show succeed without said actor? For House of Cards, prior to the Keven Spacy situation I believe they were already working towards ending the show. For Roseanne, I believe that she had full creative control, so I don’t think it’s possible to do it without her.
I’m of the opinion, that the racism was the excuse for firing her, and not the reason. Roseanne has a history of being hard to work with, if I’m not mistaken. So I’m guessing this was a way to cut and run. With Spacey, well dude aught not be fiddling kids. Plus it’s the same situation, where people have said that he’s problematic without the sexual assault allegations.
I don’t like Quantic Dream games, and I don’t think David Cage is a good writer, but people enjoy his games. So just ignore it. If David Cage is as awful as those reports imply, then he’s not going to be in business much longer anyway.
@captain_insano: Cause it’s a new release, and it will give you something to complain about.
For me, as someone that liked Fallout 4, I’m excited about the prospect of a new Fallout. If it’s just a port of anything to the switch, then I’m less than excited, but a new game would be cool.
