As long as the vibe around it is generally positive, I'll pick one up once I make a new 4K TV / Monitor purchase, but that likely won't be until after next year's lineup of displays comes out.
@thelastgunslinger: They literally didn't address it at all, aside from Dan mentioning "leaving town" in a couple of conversations. But no announcement or anything. The podcast ended and chat exploded.
I had the extreme misfortune of only starting to visit the site literally a couple weeks before Ryan's passing, and even then he's still had quite an impact on me. The memorial podcast was such a human moment from the cast and it's very obvious listening to it that Ryan was a huge loss. I still listen to it when I'm in one of those weird moods where all you want to do is be a little sad. I've gone back and watched and listened to a hell of a lot of stuff with him in it and it's a damn shame we couldn't get more. I'll probably always appreciate and go back to all those moments with him that are saved, and mourn the ones that were never able to happen. That Ryan Davis was never able to see Gang Beasts may be the world's greatest tragedy.
If the NX even has the potential of being a cool thing and has like one other good game I'm sure I'll pick one up on launch, so probably that. If it initially seems lame I'll just pick up the game for my Wii U.
It's good seeing all the midwest duders in here reppin' Godfather's and Pizza Ranch. I had the lunch buffet at the Godfather's in the town over quite a few times growing up and loved the hell out of it. When I moved to the Twin Cities from Iowa I totally forgot about Godfather's, even though there are a few up here. Might have to get some delivered this weekend.
Just got promoted to "Senior Software Engineer". I'm on an operations team for an online application for lawyers. I work on resolving incidents that happen in production, debug issues, develop internal tools, keep track of projects that will add new features to our product, and do whatever else I'm told to do.
I also spend a lot of time watching Giant Bomb content, but don't tell anyone about that.
I tried to buy ButtonMash.com a while ago but someone is squatting on it and want like 5k. I'm sure Vice could buy it though, and it's a great name. Has the same cadence as Giant Bomb dot com, too.
I'm so bummed we only got a year of Beastcasts, live shows, and wonderful writing from Austin, but I look forward to seeing what he's going to be up to in the future. Congrats duder.
