I had twins this year and still found a way to put 100 hours into this. Either I'm completely ridiculous or this game rules.

Having played this some time out from the original made it seem fresh. Having played it after becoming a parent made it seem important. The most fun I've had with a game that actually has something to say. This is also the last game on the list I actually finished.

Didn't finish until early January, but it goes right here, bumping Castlevania.

Two strata in, this is the best of the series, and it's not even close.

I sure haven't had the chance to get sick of cover-based third person shooters, but this is absolutely awesome in all the ways it improves it. 3D Probotector done right.

A sweet excursion from the mechanics of the Persona games in the EO engine. Obviously, my worries that this would supplant EO III have been assuaged, but this is the most forboding of the games to use the engine.

Some of the levels are a bit dumb, but it delivered on the promise of the original in a way I couldn't have guessed.

Still in Saudi Arabia on this one, which is allegedly the weakest section of the game. I can see what people were drawn to, and it's a shame there won't be a sequel.

Nier wins the award for Special achievement in being persuaded into buying it by the Talking Time forums. Hell of a soundtrack, too.
