"Why make new threads and not keep discussion focused where people started it :S "
Because unless you go searching for the thread under Legend of Zelda Franchise, you'll never know it was there.  GB needs a means for threads to show in multiple forums.  You shouldn't have to go hunting to find the appropriate place to discuss the game and the trailer.

"And no, 1:1 isn't always necessary, or good. Ie, most people couldn't play golf or even real tennis for shit if it was actual 1:1"
1:1 may not be necessary, but the goal for motion controls should be 1:1. Having a controller that tracks 1:1 isn't the same as implementing 1:1 motion in the game.  The more accurate the controller, the less likely you'll be frustrated by it doing (or not doing) an action in game.  I don't understand why you think more accuracy wouldn't always be a good thing.

In a golfing game, I could potentially miss hitting the ball because when I look down there's not a ball there.  So, in order to make the game playable the club always hits the ball.  This allows me to focus only on the swing and alleviates unnecessary frustration.  In addition, the game is probably going to be more lenient than real life is in terms of how it interprets my swing.  However, the more accurately it can track my swing the more accurately it can translate that into the appropriate action on screen.

Same. And the worst thing is, no one I know wants one either. I've tried selling it and everyone seems to be in the same boat of having one and not enjoying it. Seems like we've both missed the boat."
So really, what's motivating you to keep it?  Is it simply so you can come in to Wii topics and talk about how the only use you get out of your Wii is as a paper-weight?
I hate the Wii and want to get rid of it but I won't let that sway me. I will wait for the best offer. Of course if my plan screws up I will sadly make a trip to my local gamestop.

I get the feeling you hate us expressing our personal resentment over the Wii.  Sadly though, the Wii is annoying the hell out of me cause I bought into the hype and it didn't live up to my expectation. Thus I come to this one Wii topic and "talk about how the only use you get out of your Wii is as a paper-weight.'I have my reasons for criticism."
I can understand being disappointed and/or annoyed.  If the Wii did not meet your expectations, for whatever reason, who am I to tell you that you're wrong?  In fact, I think you take my post completely out of context by saying I "hate [you guys] expressing resentment over the Wii."  I will agree that there are definitely people, on both sides, who do get a bit too serious though. :)

My only motivation for posting is why you wouldn't offload your system ASAP if it's causing you grief, which you answered.  Best of luck with recouping the entire cost via your cousin.  If it doesn't work out, there are quite a few means of selling your Wii that will get you a fair price.  I hope you don't have to resort to selling to GameStop.

You guys had how long where you could've recouped the entire price of the Wii by selling it?  It's only been recently that supply has finally starting to meet demand.  Hell, you probably could've sold it during Christmas and nearly broke even.  Even now they're still going for a fair price on e-Bay.  So really, what's motivating you to keep it?  Is it simply so you can come in to Wii topics and talk about how the only use you get out of your Wii is as a paper-weight?

Used Wii + WiiFit sold for $300
Wii only sold for $219
Another sold for  $244.17
Sure, people aren't getting a whole lot more out of consoles with games.  But, you can always do a GameSpot trade on the games.

If you're not using it, then isn't getting any money out of it a good deal?  Being able to sell something at 80% (or more) of it's original value, provided you don't want or don't use it, is a pretty good return.

Oh sure, these sad, pathetic people will claim racism while missing the true crime entirely.  It's genocide of the zombies.  If people would just stop feeding the zombies and stay out of their territory, we'd be fine.  But, no, we put the zombies down the minute one of them tries to eat a living person.  We need zombie reserves where they can roam free, or, more likely, wait by the fence for someone to get close enough.

All these racism cries prove is how much effort people will go through to try to get others to see the world through their twisted perspective.

Why "thankfully"?

"ALthough the sheer quantity of perpherials being needed on the wii is annoying. wiifit board, battery charger (unless you have a warehouse full of AAs), extra wiimotes AND extra nunchucks, wii zapper, mario kart wheel and now wii motion plus."
While I can see how some could get use out of 4 Wiimotes, there aren't that many multiplayer games (especially 4 player) that need a nunchuk.  There are what 3 maybe 4 games that utilize the balance board?  Hardly a "needed" peripheral.  The zapper also isn't necessary nor is the wheel (which does come with the game).  It's kind of like saying they're getting you with WiiSpeak.  Or the Guitar Hero and Rock Band games are getting you with the guitar, drums, and mic periphials.

But, I think Motion+ is going to be one of those things where you're going to probably want 2-4 of.  So, hopefully it's cheapish and/or comes packaged with some games.

"IStill, there's something I don't quite like about Tiger Woods Golf...I don't want to just say the graphics are bad, but they're ugly. I very much prefer the simplistic look of Wii Sports Golf and if given the option, would rather have that with new courses and Wiimotion plus controls."
Same here.  I hate the realism direction of EA games.  I'd much prefer a more Mii and Wii Sports look to the game.
