Perhaps nostalgia had a factor in this going to the top of my list, but this is still a worthy contender in all respects.

No other game has given me the same feeling of reward and addictiveness this year. The online features also deserve praise for providing a unique experience.

Many areas of this game just left me stunned from all the nice visuals combined with great action sequences. Naughty Dog also did another great job with it's characters and story.

Even if you're not a metalhead, you can appreciate the time and work that went into developing the world and providing a cast of well-developed characters.

A fun game that truly shines when played cooperatively. This game has provided me with some heart-pounding and hilarious moments in campaign and Mercenaries mode. Seriously, if you're not helping out a buddy, or even some randoms, you're doing it wrong.

Another great co-op game that has provided many memorable moments. Also, loot.

A well-paced game that does a great job of providing enough unique action sequences to keep you going. Some praise should also be awarded for how well the powers of Cole factor into the city and overall gameplay.
