It's a shame. I love Destiny and Destiny 2 but Bungie/Activision just doesn't get it. They don't understand the backlash and they don't understand why their decisions are bad for their product.

They do understand it. They put out a 45-minute podcast to address community concerns a week ago. They could articulate better what the community found lacking than the community does themselves. They fully understand. It seems they just don't really care enough.

Just wanted to say - they should have totally released that podcast this week after the DLC launched. While it was bad before, I feel like it has only gained momentum this week especially with the negative news around locked content, the Eververse stuff and of course the lack of actual content in the DLC itself. The podcast was probably done in an attempt to increase sales of course but we have no new communication from Bungie on these items, and I am not sure we will ever get it.

@pyrodactyl: Jon Weisnewski couldn't be more clueless as a sandbox designer. Even back in Destiny 1 his choices were terrible and they would not ever admit it. All he has to do is check twitch and see Destiny 2 is not even close to its old numbers. Hell tonight (may not be the best night to check) Skyrim has 3 times the viewership on twitch that Destiny 2 has. I'm sure he's super proud of how bad he's made the damn game.

I will likely have a hunting party for this "beta", but if anyone needs a hand with something during the beta or at actual release let me know. I am more than happy to help.

I imagine they will. I don't recall them mentioning it specifically in any podcast though. If anything once E3 really gets going they will update the front page.

@rethla: That's fair to say. I imagine Destiny 2 will ultimately follow a similar path regarding balance, however the stuff going on in Destiny right now won't be present at the launch of Destiny 2. Seeing as they are basically burning it to the ground to start over.

I've been using the kusarigama. Like others have said, it is god damn amazing, though I use it in high stance and it absolutely crushes most enemies after one encounter.

@pyrodactyl: Couldn't agree more. It seems like Bungie is just doing whatever they want based on this update and seeing what happens. None of those changes sound appealing in any fashion to me. Looking forward to a fresh start in Destiny 2. Because they royally screwed this game up.

I liked what i saw. But i will likely wait to pick this up. Betweem feeling Farcry fatigue, and wanting to know if Mass Effect will be any good, i can wait.

So, first and foremost i absolutely love siege. It is easily my favourite shooter in a long time. With that said i get the complaints from folks and have my own issues with it to boot. The micro transactions, particularly the 25,000 dlc operator unlock are a bit skewed. Particularly with the amount of renown earned per match. I also feel like additional server support and refinements of the net code would help connection issues.

As an aside, and totally anecdotal as i havent really kept tabs on numbers: but it seems to me that siege' playerbase is continually getting larger. Which is good, because in my own opinion Ubisoft has a really great game here, with a relatively solid plan for moving forward with it.

It comes down to price and what is actually available at launch. I could see myself buying it if say it launched with a Monster Hunter (Generations G or whatever it is/will be called) and a Mario game.

Guess we'll find out relatively quickly!
