@rastopher:I've just added you. I'd love to get some help in mh4u. Let me know when you can and we can get at it!

@beadoy I just tried adding you, i think there may be a typo in your friend code as I got a message saying it was an invalid code.

On a separate note, i'll be giving a bunch of you guys privileges to do most of everything with regards to the server once you've joined it.

@mrhaydel:Yeah, you're right. Here is the first invite link.

The link is good for 24 hours. I'll add the link as well as a request to talk with anyone who has access to the server if the link doesn't work.

A discord server sounds like a great idea. I've set one up, I think. It's called GiantBomb MHGen. There's likely more to it than that, but in the interim it is something.

Having played MH4U entirely by myself to date. I can confirm it is totally possible to get to higher rank stuff solo. I am currently G2 and could be G3 no problem. It becomes a matter of playing smartly and taking the time given to you by the game. I will say that at G-rank you need to bring your A-game and know how to dodge etc...

  • Super Marior 3D Land
  • Legend of Zelda - Link between worlds
  • Fire Emblem: Awakening and if you like that get Fates

After playing Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate (which is really my first game in the series) I fell in love with it. The problem is, it isn't for everyone. However there is a demo for MH4U and I think that Monster Hunter: Generations has a demo coming out shortly, if it isn't already out. If you like what the demo has on offer, I would strongly recommend getting one.

I would also recommend the Shin Megami Tensai games, though they are a JRPG through and through. Not only that, they are very difficult.

With the release of Monster Hunter Generations less than a month away I am looking to see if anyone wants to team up. I got into the series with MH4U and really only play it solo (up to G2 now!), but with this upcoming release I am hoping to play online in a team setting.

Let me know if you're interested!

Edit: I am in the Mountain time zone by the way

Second Edit: I have set up a Discord server for use. The links are only good for 24 hours, so if the link doesn't work please let me know, or if you know someone with access to the server, that is an alternative.

I would need to know what the NX is, as well as pricing and what its line-up of games is. I mean, aside from some of the obvious stuff like Mario etc... If they released a Monster Hunter on NX, i'd probably have to get it then.

No question for me. I'd rather have better looking and better running video games over 4k any day of the week. If they can add in some additional features to pretty a game up fine as long as it doesn't affect framerate/performance. Developers have gotten away from this for whatever reason and it was a bad idea period.

Well, based on your criteria I would definitely recommend waiting to hear more on the NEO. At the minimum if you wait you'll be able to get a machine that will better handle VR than the original PS4. The only problem with waiting is you're likely to not play ABZU as well as those other games once they release.
