I hear ya. Same thing happened to me two years ago. My dog's name was Kaila, and she really was the best, most gentle dog ever. There's nothing more depressing than seeing a golden retriever of 17 (same age I was at the time) fall down the stairs and no longer be able to pee. Saddest thing ever. I even cried for quite a bit. So, so, so sad.
Please hope it's not Halo or GTA, that'd just give the media fodder. Maybe it'll be something like Shadow of the Colossus or Indigo Prophecy (that's supposed to be artsy, right). We can only hope (as utterly disrespectful as that sounds...).
Either way, my severe condolences to the mother. How utterly tragic.
Borderlands and Dragon Age. I'm still a "meh" on Assassin's Creed 2, but I'm definitely interested. I'd say if you're looking for a sure thing pick those two, and then if you really want it come Christmas, hint Assassin's Creed 2 to mom/wife/girlfriend/friends because even though I have my reservations based on the first game, it'll still probably be quite good.
