Typically the way I play bethesda games is that I find a faction I like and finish their entire quest line, then finish the main quest, then continue playing.

However, the last 5 or so quests I've done for the Railroad seem like radiant quests, so I started to worry they would just spawn forever. Should I pick up the main story or will the factions themselves have a "story end".

Those looking for some help with VATS- Perception matters a lot. I traded out my combat helmet for a beret and sunglasses (both with Perception bonuses) taking me from 7 to 9 and the difference has been quite noticeable.

Also, each piece of armor with the Ultra Light mod gives you a +5 AP bonus.

@sessh: Well, as near as I can tell, if your companions are in a settlement, they farm, so I turned off the radio transferred 4 or 5 people to a new settlement, then sent my 5 favorite companions to Sanctuary. Now they're there anytime I need to swap out.

Loving the verticality in this game. Big buildings you can often move from rooftop to rooftop, and of course jump off.

Such a great game.

I had severe lag that would come and go. I upgraded from 8GB of RAM to 16 and now it runs like a top.

The methodology for Game of the Year was really bizarre.

Keep in mind though, Ryan used to be the unofficial "moderator" of the GOTY debates, so maybe they need to find a new way to do them.

This is what I was getting at. The methodology was all over the map, because the only person that tried to drive is Brad, and he really can't drive something like that. DOTA 2 probably does deserve a spot, but Brad's head was too far up its ass to be objective on the overall listing method.

I was fully ok with it being in the top ten, I do think it had a big impact on gaming and not just on Brad.

It was when he started pushing for it to be the GOTY that I knew he was smoking crack.

I have zero nostalgia for Shadowrun. I played the tabletop game once back in the 90's and the SNES game passed me by because I was a Genesis kid in those days.

I didn't back the kickstarter.

I was convinced by the old-school nature of the RPG, which reminded me of Fallout 2 in a lot of ways and bought the game on Steam. So far I am LOVING it. Nice tactical combat, great mechanics, deep character building and soon I will have user generated adventures.

Great game.

All the etiquette choices come up. I picked Security but a LOT of the time ran into Shadowrunning.
