I kept hearing great things about Inscryption, and how it does crazy stuff, and I've been playing this card game for like 2 hours and.....

Do I have to beat this card game? I was really hoping "THE THING" would happen sooner than it has. The card game is fine, but... I play too many card games as it is. This one does Nothing for me.

Is there any way to skip the card game? Like, can I do something to make Whatever happens next happen already? Open a door or click on something in that cabin?... Or do I just have to keep playing the card game until I beat all the bosses? I wanna get to the part people keep talking around. Googling for "How to skip the card game in Inscyption" isn't giving me the results I'm looking for.

Like, at this point, If I have to beat all those card bosses Again... I'm just gonna look up what happens.

EDIT: THANK YOU! I have gotten my answer loud and clear. I kinda assumed this was more of a Frog Fractions-type game, and was expecting a few genre changes. Message Received!
This is a Card Game.

I finished Replicant recently, and have started replaying Automata. I am noticing a lot of things in Automata that I wouldn't have noticed before playing this remake. I had watched videos of original Nier's plot before, but seeing the same upgrade materials showing up in Automata after grinding for hours for Black Pearls and Eagle Eggs in Replicant was real neat. I missed that playing automata first in 2017.

As for the Papa Nier vs Teen-Nier differences.... Its so inconsequential, that if your only issue with this remake is that you can't be Papa Nier anymore: Trust me, I get it, I ALSO prefer Papa Nier...... But its really not that bad. The differences are so incredibly miniscule, and its real clear that the game was designed around Teen-Nier in the first place. You just gotta move past that.

For you personally, I'd recommend finishing that first ending, and diving into the second "Route" to see a bit of the new route content. If that still doesn't do it for ya, then maybe just watch some youtube videos. I'd still recommend seeing the game through to Ending E though, it was Quite Rad.

as someone who is a HUGE coward when it comes to scary games; Mr. X was the #1 thing stopping me from getting that RE2 remake. That game looked SO cool, but the fact that there was a big, spooky, Invincible enemy constantly stalking you TERRIFIED me, and I didn't play the game for like a year. I eventually steeled myself and buckled down and played the game, and I'm really glad I did, but the Tyrant was absolutely an obstacle for me.

And I understand he is Very important to that game! and Super rad in his own right! It's just personal taste on this one for me. I loved watching OTHER people encounter him!

As someone who doesn't play many horror games solely because I am a big scaredy cat who is spooked easily: Mr. X was the Primary and really Only thing stopping me from playing that game. I knew how he worked, I knew exactly when he came into play & when he was no longer a threat, hell I knew how to juke him before I'd even played! But the thought of having an ever-present enemy wandering a large open space with narrow corridors, and any noise you make he can hear and will start heading straight towards you UTTERLY TERRIFIED me.

And then a few weeks ago at Thanksgiving, I bought RE2 on sale, and played through all of Claire A with my sister watching. If I hadn't had a family member nearby to give me moral support I probably would never have played the game at all.

He's a cool enemy and a cool idea!..... but so Spooky...

My current thoughts on RE3 Remake are: I'm definitely not playing it myself, because Nemesis is gonna be TOO SCARY!!! I love horror games/movies, but I just cannot play spooky games most times. Too Spooky! and Mr. X is one of the Spookiest Spooks i'd ever seen!!

What a great game. I screamed like a baby multiple times when he showed up.

Wow, 6 months ago I was totally in the market for a new job. As my current Web Developer job hit a bit of a rough spot.

Man... I gotta stay on top of things! I wish the main page still listed new forum posts :/

@ares42: That first one is actually a "Cheese"burger, not a Hamburger.

Don't worry, half the cashiers/waiters at restaurants I've been to in the last couple decades have made this mistake when I clearly order a hamburger and instead receive a cheeseburger in its' place.

(Just a little pet peeve of mine)

Though your pictures did convince me that maybe a Hamburger is Not a sandwich, because you can call just the meat patty itself a "Hamburger". Before I saw your pictures I was dead set on a "Yes, of course they are" verdict, but now i'm unsure... Regardless, this is a very important subject, and warrants further study. I will go order some Hamburgers and report back.

Tabata is taking over the Quiet Man Sequel/ DLC.

... I am legit bummed about this news. I was hoping for another chunk of content being put out for that game. While flawed in many ways (Especially at launch) I loved my time on that road trip with your Bros. Good music too.
