I hated the loot system in 2. Putting legendary drops only on bosses was a terrible idea. The grind in 1 was fun because you could run around killing stuff and checking chests. In 2 you end up just beating the same bosses over and over and over if you want any legendaries.
Thanks everyone :) , i guess i will play Borderlands 2 first since i already own it , and if i still feel like it i will play the pre-sequel .
You wouldn't guess it, but the pre-sequel actually spoils the plot of Borderlands 2, because it assumes players have finished that game. So yes, play them in order of their release. I wouldn't bother much with the first game. It was good, but it's hard to go back after playing the sequel. Perhaps just you tube the cut-scenes, and then continue playing Borderlands 2.
Umm i might consider getting the first one if i really liked the second and the third one , Maybe after finishing them i will have that thrill for more =D ty

From the way you say it , i think i will like the second one way more than the first then , because i hate grinding normal enemies , but i might like grinding bosses for loot , and it seems more logical for bosses to possess higher-tier gear anyway :)
I'll second that if you care about the loot grind, go for Borderlands 1. If you just want a game with a story that you can run through and enjoy then go for Borderlands 2.
I really liked that Dlc character in BL2 named Gaige , for the fact that she's focused in lightning damage , i love everything that has anything to do with lightning :3 , she can also summon a robot which can tank for her , it's really perfect , + some of the skins out there makes her so cute :P .
I played some of borderlands 2 , but stopped a little after because of my work , and now after the pre sequel came out , i really want to get into this franchise .
I never played Borderlands 1 either , but i am not really planning to as people told me that the second one did everything that the first couldn't do and better .
So in which order should i play borderlands 2 ( + the dlcs ) and the pre sequel ? i am guessing that i should play the pre sequel first since it takes place before the second one ?
@crithon: Yep , even thought i played them all on the x360 , from what i have seen from the pc version of XIII , I can't wait for XIII-2 and lightning returns , specially XIII-2 , the monster crystal system was so addictive !! .
I'm really hoping that J-rpgs would breakthrough their limitation of consoles and be released on PC , but for that to happen , people need to support that idea .
Edit : running on 4k !! :

Even though we can notice some frames drop from 60 to 40ish , i can't help but be amazed by the improvements , specially in cutsenses , they look so good that you might think they're pre-rendered !
@nophilip: That's what i really want , compared to other shitty ports , this one is alright , i mean , the game is playable and runs way better than the x360 version , and hopefully more patches will be released soon which will make it even better .
@ulquiokani: did you try applying the fixes ? the game is capped on 30 fps on release , the fix unlocks that cap , however , even with all the fixes , the game can still be called a "bad port" for the lack of graphic options , that much i can understand :) .
@galacticpunt: If they just want money , it will be wonderful if they would release every other FF in PC from now on , will make me forget about buying a console again , same things with games like the Tales series .
@ulquiokani: You shouldn't worry about it , the game runs at 60 Fps in 1080p , all of that + SweetFx will turn it out to look so pretty compared to the console version

This video doesn't show much but you can still notice the improvement .
@giantlizardking: That's true , i also thought of that at first , but then again ,FF XIII was only released on x360/ps3 , but they still did port it on PC , so i see another reason behind it , because if that's the case , then why didn't they port the earlier FF games like X-2 .
