I'm a senior at an art and design college where I'm constantly around 19 year old artsy kids like the ones in this game. I can practically guarantee that teens are basically meme machines and absolutely talk like this.
So, I don't know. As a 22 year old even the more cringeworthy lines make me feel weirdly nostalgic I guess. I appreciate the authenticity.
The sex scene started while I was still in Typography, and I had to casually drag my InDesign window over the stream and hope no one behind me noticed.
@meltdown547: Also living corpse sex between two people that just met? Sometimes I remember that Carla 'posed' in Playboy and I want to gouge my eyes out.
Regardless, I'm glad to hear Jeff not showing one ounce of confidence in David Cage's pretty android lady game. His track record hasn't been stellar in modern day settings (with and without weird psychic kung fu/ghost pal elements) so I doubt he'll somehow work magic on the whole android rights/future slavery allegory thing.
Whooooa, I've been following Hanako Games since I was in middle school. It's so weird seeing this game now and how far they've come since I was playing Cute Knight on my family's PC.
(I also really like Long Live the Queen and Spirited Heart! Raising sims like the Princess Maker games scratch a weird stat management itch for me.)
This could have something to do with the fact that I'm a girl and I typically don't hang out with people who spit on each other for fun, but I had never heard of gleeking until this UPF. I'm also from Pennsylvania, if we're still figuring out whether or not regions are a factor.
