I'm not a big fan of Marvel properties in general, but I love Jessica Jones. I rewatched it a month or two ago and while there are certain places I see so clearly where the storytelling could have been tightened up, I love what it is as a whole. Jessica and Trish had a really well written relationship and I love them. Kilgrave's entire arc was scary and tense from beginning to end.

But the cop boyfriend sucked and ruined a lot of the second half of the season. Malcolm started super interesting as a side character but went downhill as the support group/neighbor that hated Jessica stuff dragged on. It was jarring to have so much great stuff and then get these confusing asides that just seemed flat out badly written. I hope they take their time with season 2 and fix the weirdness.

Koreatown, right near Herald Square which is also right near an amazing karaoke place called Duet. That place has great cocktails and private rooms with phones where you can just call and order food whenever. My friend and I were there from about midnight to 2am once and it was amazing, even through it was just us two.

Anyway, Koreatown. There's a food court on 32nd street called Food Gallery 32. The bottom floors has a ton of great Asian food and the top floor has a dessert bar called Spot if you have extra cash for some really cute cake and boba tea. I spent 3 months in NYC for a fashion internship right in that area and went to Ktown constantly. The food ranges from cheap and delicious (Food Gallery 32 has a place that just sells steamed buns, they're huge and barely cost anything) to cool as hell (there's a bbq place where you can get a watermelon full of soju).

Edit: OH ALSO, get an app that will let you remotely enter the ticket lottery for broadway shows you might be interested in seeing. My friends and I always do this for day trips and it's perfect for two people to do because you can each enter, and whoever wins has the option to get one or two tickets. I got to see Matilda AND Hedwig and the Angry Inch this way. Some friends were even lucky enough to get those sweet $10 Hamilton tickets!

The idea of skipping any of these is nutso to me.

All of them set up at least one vital character or concept so that if you skipped, say, 2 or 6, I think you'd be confused later on. I know culture has pretty much made the idea of Harry Potter spoilers laughable, but who knows! I don't think peripheral knowledge of the series would do a good enough job tying things together.

Also, they're all less than 3 hours long. The worst that can happen is you finish one and go 'huh that could have been better' then watch the next one.

I'm excited! I literally just got into ME during the steam winter sale, so this will be my first time playing a new game in the series at launch.

The only problem is P5. I want to see reviews for Andromeda just to get a feel for what it's got going on, but P5 is going to suck me in on launch day and I'm not doing anything else until I finish it.

It really depends on whether or not I can change the setting in-game. The last thing I want is to get stuck with a difficulty that's way more frustrating than fun and not have a way to fix it without starting over.

I will always love this game. Aesthetic goes a long way with me, and Sunshine is beautifully designed.

I've probably done close to 12 on a few games during my middle school/high school weekends. Any Harvest Moon games would pull me in, as well as whatever JRP I was playing at the time. Paper Mario TTYD, Tales of Symphonia, or Persona 4 more than likely.

After seeing Janine Hawkins' top 10 reaffirming some of my best gaming experiences this year, I'm going with Style Savvy: Fashion Forward and Mystic Messenger. It's reductive to use the term "girl games" but holy shit games aimed at women have gotten so much better than they were when I was a kid.

I've been bouncing between Mass Effect 2, Pokemon Moon, Style Savvy, and an otome game for ios this whole month and everything is equally amazing. I just love good stories, I don't care what time of game they're attached to.

So, has anyone already hypothesized that Death Stranding takes place in a weird future where no one that has a womb exists and fetuses are rare contraband? My friend and I were talking today and that was my best guess for the capsule baby nonsense and haunting infant imagery.

Style Savvy: Fashion Forward is a great game to pick up at sale price. I'm addicted to making cute outfits for cute girls, as someone who grew up with a fashion itch thanks to flash dress-up games. I'd also definitely second Link Between Worlds, Rune Factory 4, the Zero Escape games, and whichever Pokemon games. 3DS has a few Professor Layton games too, and those are always good.
