While I personally wouldn't give it a 10/10, I can definitely see why the reviewer thought it was worth that much. The whole article felt rather objective and certainly not a case of "paid to grade well". He also mentioned the "Always online" DRM as a major issue for those of us who wants to play Sim City by ourselves, without the online community.

To me it seems like the reviewer jumped into this game the way I jump into a The Sims game, i.e "Here's a plot of land! Build, goof around, and have rather fun in a silly way!".

Skylanders is definitely up there at the top, and I fell for it myself. I was just going to order a starter kit and fill up so I had atleast one of all elements. Worked great for about two days, then the next paycheck came and suddenly I ordered some more little useless plastic toys for $150... and that's just to get the complete set of Spyro's Adventure figures. I got Giants left... *shudder*

I blame Jeff for this miniature madness.

I still haven't finished AC1 even if I own all the other ones too. It's just too damn BORING, and I'm a person who dislikes to watch the end on YouTube. It feels wrong somehow... *sigh* Someday I will embark upon this most holy of quests and complete the damn games.

I did pick up AC3 - Liberation for the Vita though, since that's a bit more stand-alone and it has been a blast so far! Is the other AC games like that? (i.e the ones that came after the first one, and regarding repetitiveness)

Everyone states that the game leans towards stealth but I disagree. I'm currently playing a no-kills run-through but the game taunts me at every corner. Here! Pick up these bolts, for a weapon you can't use. Here, have some money to buy upgrades... for weapons you can't use! I got around 7k money after the tutorial and the first mission and I don't have anything to spend them on, except for one rune and 10 sleeping-bolts. Although the stealth functions are cool, I feel like I'm missing out on something, so my next playthrough is definitely going to be a more bloody one.

Awesome game, none the less.

So my question is: Do you guys have any films where the main character is an "outsider"? Someone who has trouble integrating into normal society because of his social capabilities. I'm having a little trouble finding these kinds of films, since Google always comes up with Coppola's The Outsiders.

Rebel without a cause.

This seems to be available on the vita store in Australia - although only as one of the larger icons at the top and not updated in the lists.

At the moment it has 2 out of 5 stars out of 250 user reviews and it's frightening me off.

Does anyone know what the hell that's about?

Yep. Sony fucked up their digital release so those of us who bought it early (in Europe and Australia) got a copy that didn't work. The playstation blog seems to indicate that they've fixed it now. There were a lot of angry people complaining about it so I guess they one and two star'ed it since every other review I've read (including videos from both gamer sites and private persons on youtube) awarded it with top rates.

I know what WAS the best MMO: Ultima Online. That is, before they fucked the whole thing up. Also, Meridian 59, as someone mentioned, was quite the blast even if it's rather crappy by todays standards.

For "present day" MMO's I'd say WoW is the best. Still playing it from time to time, which is more than I can say for the countless MMO's I've abandoned over the years. There's just something about the WoW world I find charming, but I'll be damned if I can explain what it is...

I ended up with the control panel, the altimeter and the eject switch in my inventory. Either that's part of this goofy game or someone needs to place them as scenery with the inform7 code.

Well, one point of this blog was to send me to Steam to buy this game. I love visual novels and have spent way to much time playing all sorts of them since I got hooked on them through Katawa Shoujo.

The screenshots over at Steam looked awfully bland and boring, but your description of the game piqued my interest. I tend to focus more on the characters and their relationships than the plot too.
