great list! as a fellow ex-WoW player it took a bit of effort getting into that mindset of playing FFXIV not as an MMO where you sprint to the endgame to unlock all the cool shit, but as an RPG where (as trite as it might be to say) it really is all about the journey. excited for you to reach shadowbringers and late sekiro -- if you're digging them already, i think you'll really like how they end up playing out.
Damn, I'm not even mad about finding out what the NSC is via podcast because that's such a cool discovery.
For what it's worth, I like the format, it makes for good passive listening material and works as a series of pitches for the games I haven't played yet.
@ronindrummer200: Thank you! It's definitely a significant time investment, so it's hard to recommend to anyone who doesn't have the free time. But apart from a few sections, I think it uses that time fairly responsibly. All you need to do is set aside a few hundred hours, and you're set!
I like that the gym battles actually draw a crowd. It's not a big change, but it goes a long way towards reinforcing the idea that people actually care about Pokemon battles. Still needs some polish, but to me Pokemon's always been about establishing a world more than delivering top-notch graphics or enthralling gameplay, and it looks like they did a solid job of leveraging the Switch to add some depth to the world. UI looks even better than Gen V, so that's nice.
