About the motherboard...do you intent do ever use all PCIe slots? if not I would recommend getting a smaller motherboard, with something like 2 PCIe slots. I have a micro ATX with only 2 PCIe slots that I use for a video card and a sound card, which is all that I care about. Also gaming motherboards are way more pricier than "normal" motherboards.

The guys at Tested build a gaming PC back in 2013 which would be even today a very good build, and possibly even cheaper now.

@hayt: Last year it was in Vegas, not sure the name of the venue, but this year is gonna be in Los Angeles. Last year he got a lot of backing (and ads) from publishers, so I guess this year is going to be the same. It was a fairly big event, it was even streamed on Steam.

I would say you can go all in. There is some good mods out there that fix some of my issues with the UI. Like this one , which adds full text for the dialogue options. Of course with time the mods are only getting better after they release the official mod tools, but I would say that you can go now. I will any way play multiple playthroughs

I know I'm probably the problem on this issue...I really don't care much about jankiness when it comes to bethesda games. Simply because I buy they're games more for the amazing mods people make for those type of game than for anything else. Sure, the game would be better with less jank, but different from other games where what you get from the developers is what you get, Bethesda games evolve over time so when I bought my copy of Fallout 4, I was king buying a game I will be playing a few years down the line. I was still playing Skyrim last month(modded of course, I can't possibly even look at unmodded skyrim). The modding community for those games is bizarre, nexus had something like 40.000 mods just for skyrim, and as long they have this massive community that will fix and change almost all aspects of the game, I don't see much incentive for them to iron out all bugs and glitches. Even after the last patch made for Skyrim, the number of quest bugs and errors was still massive.

@hassun: I had a similar problem with Win 7 a while ago. The problem was that windows somehow mess up an auto-update and in the process corrupted my driver, and to make matters worse he automatically decided to download and install an earlier version of the driver and everything went to hell. I tried to uninstall it and install the correct version of the driver, but I was still having that same black screen problem. The only way I got it to work was to revert my Win7 to an earlier state, maybe you should try that, even if you haven't updated your drivers yourself.
