I made the mistake of thinking HDN could be something I'd play when it first came out, (secret shame, I even got the collectors edition >_>;;;). those games...not great.
On a side note: when I watched the anime is for jerks clips, one of the other clips that came up at the end was a 4 hour video of people reacting to the FF7 Remake announcement....who are the people who have the time to watch this video...and how can I get that kind of time ;_;
PSA for anyone with an AMD card. There is a beta driver on AMD's site to address performance issues that has really helped for me. I'm even running a 7870 2GB card which is the old min spec. I do have to run settings at pretty much all low (res at 1080p) but it still looks not bad,( though personally I don't care how it looks).
Disclaimer though, I pretty much just mucked around the very beginning of the game (since before just gliding off the bat signal tower as too choppy to be playable). Now I can glide around pretty smooth and knocked around 20 or so thugs. Haven't gotten into the game proper yet.
*edit* not sure if it was mentioned but if you are using a DS4 on your pc, you can plug it in with usb and the game will recognize it natively, with proper button prompts (even the touch pad works! :D). don't turn on DS4Windows, or the game will recognize it as an XBONE controller though.
It's a huge bummer that things are fucked after they delayed the game. Also a huge bummer that my graphics card (7870) was only meeting the minimum requirements before and is now just deemed unworthy. You'd think with all the consoles having a fucking AMD card they'd be able to get this right >.<
