I wonder if they will do replaceable batteries to allow for longer sessions. Would be nice if you could throttle the speed of the processing, so you could favor better mirroring but burn more battery. Overall super cool.

My understanding is that you can keep playing while it is charging via the USB port, so you can do this with any mobile "power bank". Attaching it to the Quest would be the trickiest part, but I'm guessing there will be 3rd party solutions for this soon, if they don't exist already.

I've been trying to find a way to play SOTN for years and it always seems to perfectly skip any console that I own. I really hope this doesn't stay PS4 exclusive so I can finally play it.

The Xbox 360 release of Symphony of the Night is backwards compatible on Xbox One, so you can play SotN if you have either of those two consoles.

Seeing how awesome Picross 3d was, this kind of feels like a lazy cash grab.

The controls work, and the puzzles are still good, but that's pretty much all you can say about it.

The actual pictures you uncover are straight up bad. But i guess in the land of the blind, one eye is king.

Considering Jupiter released SEVEN 2d picross games on the 3DS eShop, yes they're continuing the cash grab. I expect Picross S2 within a year.

But I don't mind. I'm up to Picross e3 on my 3DS, and I'm just happy to know that there is always more picross waiting if I finish all the puzzles in the one I'm playing.

I find Picross 3d a lot more challenging, which means it is more rewarding but less relaxing. After a day of work, I'm more likely to jump in a 2D picross and mindlessly do a few puzzles to relax.

How about you jsust play the game you nerds

It does look like Dan wants to turn everything into Mario Party.

However, if that's the excuse they need for some pass-the-controller-when-you-die gaming with friends, I'll take it.

That first map (assuming they play more, haven't watched the entire thing yet) looks familiar, is that a remix of a quake 3 map?

Are they playing this up for the camera? I mean, I never played 2 and I haven't played SMB 1 in at least 15 years, but this doesn't look that hard.

Give it a try (it should be available on virtual console on 3DS and Wii U).

I just finished NES SMB 1 on Wii U, and I'm trying to get through the lost levels right now (I never played these growing up). I'm used to the SMB1 physics from Super Mario Maker, going from those to SMB1 and Lost Levels is pretty tough. The controls/physics/whatever in these two games are quite different from Super Mario Maker or newer Marios in general, and I found it pretty hard to adapt to them.

This thing looks cool (and I'm obviously getting one :), but messing with that Joy-Con Grip seems like it would get tedious real quick. Hopefully you can just hook up two pro controllers (for those with the money to get them) and use those when connected to a TV, and never bother with the Joy-Cons.

(also the pro controller seems to have a normal D-Pad, which the Joy-Con L doesn't)

EU release is coming October 21. From Nintendo press release:

Rhythm Paradise Megamix erscheint am 21. Oktober im Handel und im Nintendo eShop.

Ah, so they want a simultaneous physical and digital release. Perhaps USA got it earlier because it's an eShop exclusive there and don't need to print copies.

Still sucks though. (This whole region stuff is a huge pain for me, I just moved from Europe to South America and have a European 3DS and North-American Wii U).

Man what am I gonna do for entertainment next week? Talk to family? I don't want to do that.

I usually download all the extra life archives and skim through that in VLC.
