Thoughts on Abyss? I think that's the one I got furthest in and remember enjoying, but never finished. I did watch the anime which I'm sure cut a bunch of stuff out but I assume I got the jist of the story from it

@jadegl: That one was bad but personally I found one that was even worse than that one for me. Almost had me throw my controller in frustration at that one...

@slag: I'm pretty sure the pro controller should work when the Switch is undocked (I don't own a pro controller yet so I can't test this theory) as it would make sense to be able to use a pro controller while the Switch is in "kickstand mode." The more interesting thing is whether it will work when the Joycons are still attached, or if you would have to remove them first.

I found that on some of the puzzles it felt like the calibration was becoming more inaccurate as time went on, kind of like what was happening to the Bomb Crew with PSVR. It became really annoying when going back to my starting hand position still resulted in the maze being at a slight angle, so I constantly had to cancel out to recalibrate. Only time I was really frustrated with the game...

I was on the fence about getting a Switch at launch and considered at length of holding off on getting it until later on, either when Mario Odyssey had also been released or hopefully some kind of bundle of console + game was on the market. This was already a marked change from my original consideration of the Wii U possibly being my last Nintendo console considering that both my Wii and Wii U didn't get much use, plus I never finished a Zelda game (console or handheld) since Ocarina of Time.

However, my tech lust got the better of me and seeing so many positive reviews and pretty enticing gameplay footage of Breath of the Wild eventually got the better of me. I had considered getting BotW for Wii U and then getting it again later on when I bought a Switch, but figured I probably wouldn't play it again on the Switch if I finished it on Wii U. Therefore I ended up pulling the trigger on the Switch and BotW and have been blown away ever since.

I've used the Switch in all 3 modes already; only once in Kickstand mode but I've used it a ton in both Handheld and TV mode. I'm typically not big on open-world games as I usually never finish them but the world of BotW is oddly compelling and it's all I can think about when I'm not playing it. It's a long time since anygame has been able to illicit that kind of reaction from me and it's a testament to how great this game is (to me).

@stonyman65: Nothing would make me happier regarding future instalments of this series than if they decided to bring Han back.

  3. Furious 6
  4. The Fast and The Furious
  5. The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift
  6. Fast and Furious
  7. 2 Fast 2 Furious

That's my list based off recollection. I haven't watched the fourth and sixth movies in a while so my recollection of those movies are somewhat hazy...

I use rest mode and the suspend/resume functionality on PS4 a lot. It's always worked great for me and it's so natural I don't even have to think about it at all. I especially love it with the portable systems and now with the Switch it's another great feature to have as I can boot into BoTW instantaneously whenever I wake up the console.

I don't have any yet, but I'm going to get a Pro Controller, screen protector, and a case.

Most likely going the same route, though still on the fence about the pro controller.

I think it looks fine and actually kinda fun, but the price tag is definitely too steep. The other thing is that the games themselves don't seem like they have much longevity to them, unlike say Wii Sports, so without significant replay value (to me personally) it makes the $50 price tag even worse.
