@Sin4profit: @MattyFTM: The steam community tab as i see it is a long string of achv-gets, purchases and announcements. From my experience the information it gives you is very bland and no interaction from one person to another is observed or done. It's a very detached feeling. I BARELY look at it.

What i would love to see is something like the BattleLog from BF3. Being able to comment on the certain activities, setting statuses, expressing opinions about games or issues. I think that will add more value to steam as a platform. Steam as it is now, is a great store (prices might be a bit bloated here in Australia) and a great downloading service. What i think it's missing is a solid social aspect to bring it all around. Some of Valves most played games are multiplayer based (tf2, l4d2, cs and up and coming dota2), and enhancing the connected feeling with the people on your friends list would make me want to come back to steam over and over. The 'groups' and 'blotter' don't cut it for me. I know steam could be the one stop place for social gaming.

Plus, it beats steam posting shit for you on your real facebook. At least when you post stuff on your steam-facebook it'll be relevant and contextual.

Hopefully that clarified what i meant by facebook-like.

I understand that some people won't get it, but i've met awesome people on the internet and we've become such good pals. Playing a lot of l4d2 and such. I'm sure all the wow people know what it's like. If you could have a facebook that was game centric, that would be awesome. Bridging the gap between playing with randoms and playing with potential friends is something i think steam has the potential to do.

Also it would add an extra level of security by not giving out your REAL facebook.

After playing BF3 for some time, i realized that the unobtrusive facebook-like social interface was a welcome addition. I think valve would benefit a lot if they integrated it into steam. It would make the platform a lot more social 'cause half MY steam friends are random strangers that i would never talk again and maybe the facebook feature would give me a chance to find some other people with similar likes and dislikes to games.

Also i feel like it would be a good place to express thoughts, news and opinions about games that i would not otherwise do on the real facebook.

An app that will sync up with your Skyrim inventory so you can read the books you collect throughout the game when you're not in the game. I find that reading the books in the game really breaks the immersion of how i play. I would love to read the books though and an app that i can buy and read them away from the game.

I know the infrastructure probably isn't set up for it, but man I wish it existed. Better yet, experiment with the creation of potions, crafting and cooking in an app as well!

There's something that attracts me about playing aspects of the game away from the game...

@BatmanReturned: Because it's the internet and the text on your screen may make it sound extremely negative or elated. You read into it however you want, which in this case may be negative. Just like how you will take this comment as negatively given. Also, the game can have faults and still be an enjoyable experience. Take any game you played 10 years ago.
