So I don't have a lot to say about what happened today on GB. I wasn't on much due to it being the weekend. I don't know what happened so I won't even go down that path. I went to the Flea Market today. There were no SNES's unfortunately , and the NES's cost $35. Way to much! I did find a PS1 with a gameshark, a memory card, chords, system, and Metal Gear Solid 1 for $17. A pretty good deal if you ask me. I probably will skip the SNES for now because I need to save my money for the great 360 games coming out this fall. When I got home tonight I found about 8 games or so in my closet for the PS1. They consisted of Crash Bandicoot 1, Crash 2 Wrath of Cortex, Crash Warped, Crash Bash, Crash CTR racing, Rugrats, Frogger , and Yugioh! Forbidden Memories. With those games and Metal Gear it should hold me over for awhile.
On my last blog I had some people ask me why I gave some high scores and others low. I will not review them at the moment but I will elaborate my reasoning.
Wall-E: This received a 7/10 because of several reasons. It was a great movie. It had the charm of Pixar and the great visuals for a cartoon movie. It was well written and had a descent message , BUT it just doesn't appeal to adults as much. For kids it would receive a 10/10 for many reasons but if you are an adult wanting entertainment it just isn't for you. Will elaborate more in my future reviews.
Jumper: I originally gave this an 8/10 but after watching it again I realized it was to short and the only parts I enjoyed was the last 2 fights. It could have been a lot better if it wasn't so short. It was only 1:20 minutes or so without credits. Hayden Christiansen did a great job along with some more young cast members. The movie was entertaining at some parts but in others it felt more like a love story than an action flick.
X-files: The last one I had been asked about was this movie. Mulder and Scully were back and they did a descent job in this reunion but it didn't have the traditional X-Files feel. THe first few seasons of the show were based on aliens and there was no mention of them in this really. It was more based on the paranormal. The director didn't know who to please, hardcore fans or newbies. In this it fails to please anyone.
There are my thoughts on the ones you guys asked about. I also have taken Far Cry 2 out of my list of wants. I have never played any of the other Far Cry's so I have decided not to start now. Here is my new list.
So I know I didn't make any blogs yesterday but that is because I was busy. I didn't get up till 10 yesterday then I ate lunch at 11:45 and went to my friends house at 12. We hung out there till about 6 or so then I came back home and ate dinner. I had to clean up and then at 8 I watched Jumper which was a descent movie. Speaking of movies I have some scores I would like to post of some movies I have seen lately. I might make some reviews of these sooner or later.

As for my gaming updates I have narrowed down my list yet again. I have decided to rent Lego Batman and Dead Space. I also took Bionic Commando the game for 360 off of my list because it is not going to release most likely till next year. I also removed Final Fantasy 13 because it probably is a next year release too. Also my friend decided not to sell me the PS2 so there is about $50 I guess I will save. I probably am going to pick up an SNES/NES today so time for some classic gaming. So my list is slowly going down. It is down to 10 games and here they are:

Yes, I know I didn't make a Beginning of Day 5 thread but today I was very busy. I had to workout this morning and then take a shower. By the time I got on it was like 12:30 and I thought what is the point. Today was slow for the times I was on. Nothing really happened and no more of my submissions were accepted. I think it is safe, and sad, to say I am not going to be chosen as a mod. Now that it probably won't happen I will go out and say it. No I am not power hungry but I know I could really help this community. You could call, PM, ask any of my friends and when I have power I don't abuse it. Some of the people tat were chosen to be a mod were just random. I didn't understand why they had been chosen. A few of them had almost no friends, no blog posts, hardly any submissions, and only a few posts. Now that they are mods though they buffed out their profile. In the future it probably won't happen. The closer I get to school starting the less time I have on, and the less time for the staff to notice me.
On another note, my 360 fired today. It will turn on but I can't play any game without it having error messages and making weird noises. I have to ship it in which means about 4-6 weeks without it. On that note, I hope tomorrow I get the SNES and maybe Sunday the PS2 my friend offered. I can't go to September without gaming. I narrowed down the list of games I have however down a few. So today was an interesting day. We had 2 trolls/spammers. Cakeordeath and Scousers_are_Scum. Both of them posted many topics that were useless and not needed. Eventually though our wonderful mods stepped in and locked their topics. Nothing new really happened today. My submissions are still pending and no new content. There were no new reviews(obviously), no new anything. I no we are just into our fourth day here but the days have laggged on. Hopefully in the next few days when the staff isn't swamped by 20,000+ submissions we will see some exciting content happen.
With todays troll events it starts to make me wonder if this freedom is a good thing. We have these sexy pic threads going on, people cussing way to much, and spam topics everywhere. It makes me think if the staff is doing the right thing? IMO I think they are. They have given us freedom and we are abusing it. I can se a downturn in our freedom if these events keep happening. We have 6 mods right now and it makes me think we don't have enough. The mods aren't always on. So do we need more? Probably. When will we see this next batch of mods? Who knows.

So it is about 12 ET here. I just got back from working out and then my appointment. Yesterday was pretty quiet. We didn't see any trolls, not a lot of spamming, and the only thing that really happened was the appointment of a few new mods. We now have 5 and one of them is my friend Hamz. Congrats dude! I know you'll do great and I hope they pick some other good mods to back you up.
So what can we expect today? Who knows? It could be another quiet day here at GB but only time will tell. Well I'm off to bomb some so I'll see you all around the forums.
So we end the third day of bombing. Did we see anything exciting? Me...no. No trolls, nothing new added, and no new mods. Today was just a normal day here at GB. I wasn't on here near as much as yesterday. I was busy with some stuff and was only on for about 3 hours total today. I posted some and found out I am one of General Discussions top posters. Tomorrow hopefully will be a more exciting day here at GB. I won't be on till close to 12 ET tomorrow though. I have to get-up , go to work-outs and then I have a doctor's appointment. The site has also started to run slow for me. Hmm?
On a side note I have a lot of gameing going on in my head. I want Unreal Tournament 3, but there are so many games coming out soon that I don't know what to get in the future. My friends keeps telling me he will sell me a PS2 and 45 games for cheap but no contact back from him lately. Also I have had the urge to get a SNES, but I don't know if I can push myself to buy one.
So we start Day 3. After a good nights rest I am ready for more Bombing today. What can we see in store for us on the 3rd day of the sites beta? Maybe a few mods, more spammers, any new content added on to the home page or our profiles? Well we have another long day ahead of us and it will be interesting to see what happens. So far the site has done really well so I don't see why the site can't keep improving and have less bugs the more days we go into it. Right now I only have a few minor bugs I would like to see fixed.
1. Under my relationships it has been stuck on "100 results" for awhile although I keep gaining friends.
2. My post count is stuck at 4 when I have close to 100 probably.
3. I cannot post in my blog or other blogs
Also, I gained 38 points over the night and I still have some of my bigger submissions yet to be Approved or Rejected. RIght now I have 44 points but with over 20,000 submissions its hard to find things to edit that can get me a lot of points. Well we can only see what will happen as time goes on.
So as the day winds down I have decided to make a wrap up of the high and low points of the day. Being confined to my house I have been on here all-day long and have seen things that can be fixed and that I like.
I would like to state what I have liked about the site. For awhile we have had gaming sites that only post news on games, give reviews, and give previews. GB is original. It has a huge database of games, community focused site where the staff is vitally involved, and great editorials.
We came across our first few trolls and spammers today. DaWhiteAsian was banned but not before he flooded our forums with curse words and inappropriate topics. He spammed crazy and was punished. ALso we have several other people such as Casey Wergner and others that have been spamming posts like crazy. The forums aren't cluttered but we have way to many of the same subject threads like Gamespot did. His just shows you the need for moderators. I know the GB staff is busy but hopefully tonight when traffic slows down they can take an hour brake to look at the community from today and choose the right people. It seems in the next few days as we get on our feet we can only sit and watch as our site gets the bugs and glitches fixed.
Speaking of bugs and glitches today went better. The site only crashed for me today once. Other than that the only thing that really is screwed is I can't comment in blogs right now. Also my post count is wrong along with my friends list. I have been stuck on 100 results for friends when I have gained more today. Also it says I only have 4 posts when I have at least 80-100.
Well these next few days will be rough. I know they have their hands full but they are going slower than they hoped on excepting user submissions. Hopefully tomorrow the mods will be appointed and this site will grow even larger.
So we are in to Day 2 and it started out well. But about 20 minutes ago the site has crashed for me and I'm having trouble going to some of the forums. Also it has gone pretty fast for me up to this point. Now its going really slow. Also, My Feed isn't displaying half of the stuff I do. It only shows two things right now.I have also seen the increasing need for mods which I know they are doing their best to get too. There has been a lot of post spamming and I have seen some trolls and posers on the general discussion forum. In these next couple of days though I can see them getting mods and adding several features that people have requested.
E3 I thought was average this year. Microsoft one out of all the companies. They showed a lot of amazing games such as Fallout 3, Gears of War 2, and much more. Also the new fall update looks really cool. SOny didn't impress me much. They had some pretty cool things such as Little Big Planet and the new marketplace type things but nothing impressive. Nintendo failed. I hardly heard their name the whole time. I can see this being a strong year for the 360 though.
So far I love it. The editing is great I have added quite a bit of new stuff that is pending though. I have posted a ton but it only says I have 2 posts. I really think I have at least 50 or 60 but it only shows 2 posts. Well my goal is to become a mod when they have sign-ups in a few weeks. I have edited and posted a ton and I am getting ready to add some new reviews so I hope that this will get me somewhere. Well what is your opinion of the new site?
