Games sitting on a shelf in my apartment still sealed or otherwise unplayed.

Yeah, this is probably pretty bad, and I really need to get on a lot of this stuff.  For some reason, I always worry about stuff turning out to be hard to get.  The fact that I am occasionally right compounds the issue.  *sigh*  This list is nowhere near complete yet (I will remove this statement when it is, if ever), and is basically sorted by system, consoles first, then portables.  If you want to recommend that I play any of these games, send me a PM.

List status: PS3 and XBox 360 complete (I think).   To do: Wii, PS2, DS, PSP.

List items

  • Came with my PS3, because I had to get the backwards compatibility. Never got around to it. Picked up the MGS collection because I never played any of 'em before, and got about 2 bosses into MGS1 before I decided that "yo, PS1 era 3d graphics are hard to see in".

  • PS3 version. Played the demo, it was pretty cool. Got PS3 version for Joker rooms. That's about it.

  • Picked it up at a last year's GameStop GameDays sale when it was 20. And even though it was from the sale, it is a sealed copy.

  • Running through the collection first. Even though I do own the original versions, I never got around to God of War 2. Also GoW:Collection's version of the first game crashed after about 20 minutes without saving, so it's back on the shelf as well.

  • Bought it early to get the limited collector's edition. Haven't stuck it in. Frankly all the "All white tendency/All black tendency" weekends kinda make me a little nervous about starting. I do need to get around to this though.

  • 360 Version. Toys R Us had a sale where I picked this up and Darksiders and got a $60 gift card back. Still haven't spent the gift card. The demo was pretty fun though, and I did like the original Devil May Cry.

  • 360 Version. See Bayonetta, but I haven't played the demo.

  • I pick things up early for preorder bonuses. I HATE that game companies make me do this. I suppose I have to play though my copy of Mass Effect 1, but as you will eventually see, I have enough games here for at least a whole year.

  • 360 Version. Collector's edition was on sale at the local Best Buy, and I combined it with a Guitar Hero 5 sale I think. Again, good demo, but I'm worried I probably don't have someone to play it with. Box has been opened, but the disc has never been removed. Also the collector's edition figure was broken in the box, and then broken much worse by accident. I might try to fish the pieces out from under the refrigerator and glue them together... again.

  • Got it pretty cheap online with the collector's edition with the controller. I'm noticing a trend here. The controller isn't all that good, but it's a decent enough entry level stick I suppose.

  • RPG buying binge! Don't bother me, I'm playing FFXIII.

  • Was like $9.99 at Best Buy, and I want to see how it compares to the WWE games. Mostly because I can't bother to sit through all the stuff in the most recent WWE games.

  • I really should get on this one. At least it's something I can probably play for 30 minutes or so at a time, right?

  • Couldn't go wrong at $20. Played a bit of the first on the original GC version, but never finished it, and this seemed much more worth it than hunting used bins trying to find a copy of Echoes.

  • Cheap game sales, coupled with a re imagining of a game I wished I could play as a kid. (Wasn't Nintendo Power fun growing up?)
