So this thread was a landmine to talk about god and scientists being closed minded lost little lambs all along and I was made a twat of by giving a real answer.

Without a shadow of a doubt. We're computers made of meat limited in progress by evolution. Our creation of machine intelligence will catch up and overtake faster than nature can. Thinking it won't is rather babyish and holding human intelligence above all is like the religious ignorance of claiming anything wonderful is god's work.

Are you crazy - that bit where you had to carry her out of the jail... I spent hours on that bit. I took her to the pub, a couple of hay bail, to the beach. I had to do most of the talking and.. you know, the heavy work, but the she had treasures below that needed no diving bell, my friend.

To make my girlfriend laugh I attach 4 of the skinny chips (as they are known here) to the burger bug and make it walk about - a few roars and screeches to bring the tableau to life. She'll laugh then put 8 chips on her burger and pretend it's a spider and that's when it's gone too far. My innards literally gurgle as everything inside me turns to watery brown slurry such is my fear of spiders. If there's not a cubicle free in the toilets I just have to drop my trousers and do my ghastly evacuation in the sink or a mop and bucket.

And I'm fine after that.

I worked out the speed of the Jackdaw when you're full tilt and it's 60 mph if you go by the number of metres it covers in a minute. Brigs went at 12mph max according to Wikipedia. Galleons went at 7 knots at fastest, 8.5 mph. Now the way those legendary ships come at you - that's like 70 or 80 mph when they've got the anger.

I was stood on an island watching the Spanish fight the English and the boats were screeching around doing handbrake turns, it was amazing and nonsense.
