  • PC - Makes the most sense at the moment. It's relatively cheap to buy a decent machine these days that will massively outperform any of the current consoles, all new games are compatible with the 360 pad, HDMI cables allow you to play on your TV in your living room and Steam/sale prices of games are so cheap that you'll quickly offset the higher hardware price.
  • Mobile - I think tablets/phones are great for surfing the web and certain apps are crazy useful, but games tend to be nothing but 10 minute time wasters. There's a few I really enjoy, but nothing I'd consider to be of real value or comparable to a gaming experience on any other system.
  • Handhelds - I think with tablets/phones growing in popularity so much, it's only a matter of time before these are completely irrelevant. But we definitely haven't approached that point yet, there's nothing on iOS/Andoid that comes close to the experience of Pokemon or Monster Hunter and the ability to sit down and play these with friends in the same room, really makes the experience in a lot of cases. Games like Pokemon don't need to be handheld, but you'd lose a core part of the trading/multiplayer experience if they were shifted to a console.
  • Consoles - Have gradually become more and more redundant in my eyes, aside from a handful of exclusives. I don't look down on people who still prefer them, but there's really no advantage to playing a game on a console over the PC.
  • Arcade - Were never very big were I'm from and have never seemed at all important to me. I can see why the experience might have been fun for some, I guess, but they've long since outlasted their usefulness.

Always wanted to get into Kamen Rider but I have no clue where to start.

I'd start with Kuuga. It was the relaunch of the series back in 2000 after quite a considerable gap and it's the first of the more modern seasons. It's more of a drama than the later seasons, which turn into pretty goofy toy commercials and it has a pretty good plot with some really involving mysteries. It's probably still my favourite season.

It was filmed on a pretty low budget though, so be prepared for some odd looking camera work and bad special effects. I'd just work through the seasons from there, avoiding any subs by TV-Nihon.

After seeing all of the videos on this game the cons seem to outweigh the pros by quite a bit. Too bad, I was really looking forward to a new good SimCity game. Maybe I'll just get a pirated copy.

Could you elaborate? What are the cons? There isn't really anything I dislike about the game so far.

The always online DRM is a pretty big one, the fact it's Origin exclusive and that they seem to be stripping content out of the game to sell as part of the overly expensive limited editions. As much as I loved past SimCity's, I don't think I can justify supporting EA here.

I think the upcoming additions to the achievement/reward system will help a lot with the "well, what do I do now?" aspect of the game. I do feel like one of the problems in the game isn't so much that there's nothing to do at max level, but that the game just doesn't do a very good job of pointing you in the right directions or telling you the reasons for continuing to play.

If you want to spend a couple bucks, just get Theatrhythm Final Fantasy on iOS instead. The base game is free but they charge for the music and characters. I don't know how the prices even out compared to the 3DS version, but if you don't have a 3DS and only want music from a couple of the Final Fantasies, it's a pretty good time waster.

Horribly. The 3DS version includes all of the music tracks and you can buy it for about $20, where as unlocking them all on iOS will cost you over $140.

Yoda is currently being used to sell phones on British TV. How is doing this, or anything else, worse?

Star Wars can literally only go up from this point.

Thanks to my sister, I know way more about Sailor Moon than I really should. And not just Sailor Moon proper, but Sailor Moon R, Sailor Moon S, Sailor Moon SuperS, and Sailor Stars.

On a side note, that show gets hella weird as it goes on (see: the Sailor Starlights)

There are far more lesbian undertones in the Japanese version and outright homosexuality in the later seasons.

Anyway, I'd probably have to say Pokemon. It's a show I actually enjoyed for whatever reason back in the day, but it's a really awful series and totally insulting to even its target demographic. I really wish Nintendo would do something a bit more serious with it.

Who's giving up free speech and why would you quote that movie?

I think the Pokemon models in the battles look great, the cell-shading really works.

It's not the best looking game ever, but you're looking at blown up shots of a 3DS game, so of course it's going to look rough. The game also needs a lot of data for the amount of moves, Pokemon, etc, too. I'm very happy with what we've seen, it looks more along the lines of how I've always imagined the games should look.

@EpicSteve: Black and White was probably that game. Although it still primarily used sprites, a lot of the overworld models were in 3D, Pokemon were animated through out the entire battle and only being able to capture the 150 new Pokemon made it feel much closer to the original games than any of the others had. If you were worn out on Pokemon by Diamond and Pearl, I'm not sure it would have won you over though. This new one is at least graphically a next gen Pokemon game.

Xenoblade Chronicles is a pretty amazing game.

Lost Odyssey is a pretty emotional ride too, but it plays up those moments a bit too often.
