As I was listening to that part of the Beastcast, I swear I thought that one of them was going to say, "...and hey, what's the deal with airline food?"
Do yourself a favor and play the original "The Witcher" (2007) instead. It's much better, IMO. Also, I played through both "The Witcher" and "The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings" with mouse & keyboard and it worked just fine.
I've been a fan of the guys since the Gamespot days. Started in about 2004, I think. When Jeff was fired, I followed them over to Arrow Pointing Down, then Giant Bomb. Been here since the beginning.
When discussing the Spike Video Game Awards show, the criticism/apology that has always been made by the press is that the show has to be this way because a straight forward awards show would be too boring. I'm starting to wonder whether that is actually true. At this point, an actual awards show might be better. Am I the only one who thinks that an Oscar-style awards show - with tuxedos and limousines - would actually be more fun than the show they're doing now?
Whenever anyone comments on how the Spike show is just an embarrassing mess of previews and celebrity appearances, the response we get from the press is always some version of, "Well, they're doing the best they can to make it entertaining. You wouldn't want a regular old awards show, would you?"
Ok! So! How long until they cancel the Bombcast all together? I'm going with 6 months. After the 2014 GOTY content, they will call it.
You know how it will go: They will talk about how there is so much other content on the site, and how difficult it is to make time to do the Bombcast every week, and how cancelling the Bombcast will free them up to make other content for the site. In short, they will spin it as a fantastic and exciting change that will be better for their readers.
