So, this is a natural evolution of the DayZ type games then? Why did no one make a Battle Royale-style game like this before, considering how old that movie/book is and how popular these types of games but without any goal are already?
The guy who made this game is the creator of the original Battle Royale mod for ARMA
The shooting in this game feels really good and the start of this QL is already great. There's ironsights , red dots and ACOGs etc in the game but you have to double tap right click to go into aiming and this works in third person too.
The fighting system is great if you try to play properly instead of just hammering on square to build heat for a heat move, block more and use counter attacks, you don't need to become a wizard or anything.
No offense but it's far from being a hard system. Why not put a bit more effort into being passable at it? It would be more fun for whoever is playing and for us to watch.
@wynnduffy: I'm not here to talk up ME:A, but there's definitely a place in the world for someone repeatedly saying "Make it so".
Truth.
In ME:A when dialog is more or less repeated within a few minutes it sounds jarring. I don't mean dialog being played back by the game like some kind of prompt, the writers just used the same phrase/vocabulary too quickly again.
I think this game has the worst writing I've seen in a long time, they repeat dialogue & vocabulary often which is a red flag. "We got this" and "It means so much!" are some examples of that.
The explanation for how you can change profiles (for different talents/skills) is stupid too. Why not just let people change profiles without explanation? That felt very hamfisted.
