Get this. New pitch for American sitcom, the writers of "Big Bang Theory" and "The Office" come together to bring us "Got Game?"

Yahtzee's pilot had a similar running gag throughout it about Duke Nukem, wasn't that funny in my opinion.

Just having the word game in the title would stop me from watching.

This. Though they'd probably try way too hard to appeal to gamers and it would just become a lame meme spouting sitcom. Hence I would soon stop watching.

Vin Diesel is actually a huge game nerd, so he might agree. I think  one of the characters should constantly sees framerate drops, pop-in textures, etc in real life, so he's freaking out that they're actually in a game but no one else knows about it.

CANCELLED! ..... after two episodes.

I wouldn't  a sitcom about gamer/gaming/gamerers/gameplayererssssssz because it would be the stereotypical look at us , probably a nasal voice and big thick rimmed glasses for all.. fuck this show...abd it hasn't even been made haha!

No, "Joe Public" has no interest in gaming culture unless it is to make fun of it.  The last thing I want to see is how emotionally underdeveloped people who play games are, and that is the way that Hollywood would portray them.  In the midst of the group of geeks there would be one "normal" person who doesn't play games much but is there to make snarky comments directed at the rest of the group.  And, in the end, they all learn to accept their differences followed by a group hug.  No thanks, I'll pass on that drivel.  Your idea could work as a film where a single story could be told that celebrates game and geek identities, but anything that requires Hollywood to budget a weekly amount towards production is going to be focused for the lowest common demographic.
