@vinny Since you asked what Bioware games feature disease and quarantine plot lines, i compiled a short list of everything I could remember/find.
- Baldur's Gate — There's a sidequest called "The Uncommon Cold" in the Coalition Camp where a strange disease has befallen the camp, needing a separate quarantine area for the befallen soldiers.
- Neverwinter Nights — The game opens with a disease named "Wailing Death" sweeping through Neverwinter, requiring the city to be quarantined and the player character needs to find the "Waterdhavian creatures" to create the cure.
- KOTOR — As seen in these episodes, the sith empire quarantined Taris to prevent any escape from the planet. (There's more here but that would be spoiling if the series continues.)
- Jade Empire — There is an early quest where there is a disease that has befallen the Great Southern Forest, and the player is tasked with resolving it to reach the next area.
- Mass Effect 1 — the rift station on Noveria is beset by a failed bio-weapon infecting the staff and triggering a quarantine, that Shepard has to find the cure for.
- Dragon Age: Origins — The Darkspawn (the game's main anatagonists) spread a disease like corruption called the "Taint" to people. Additionally the times when darkspawn rise up are referred to as "blights", which need to be contained by the grey wardens (such as the player character.)
- Dragon Age: Origins — One of the last quests involves an apparent blight-like disease affecting the elves living in "The Alienage" (slums) leading to them being quarantined in a hospice. However it is revealed as a rouse to traffick elves into slavery.
- Mass Effect 2 — The Collectors/Vorcha unleash a virus on the Omega station, and Shepard needs to help Mordin in creating a cure.
TL;DR There's a lot of disease plot lines in Bioware games.
@ben@vinny Since I have haven't seen anyone else post it. You need to get to level 26, get the amulet, and ascend back to the surface to beat the game. Also you can find information more easily when searching if you include the "1980" (the year of the game's release) in your searches. Hope this helps.
