I suppose there are time to be direct, but I don't know if a strangers house at night in a bad area is where I would be so blunt. It might also be that as the person was a friend of the emailer in question he might not won't to be so confrontational. I don't think the person who sent the email behaved at all the strangely. Why would you want to alienate your friend over something so small. Next time you just don't table top game with them; far easier than pissing off a friend by telling them what a "shitty" DM they are.
"There are four light!" But only one PC OS. It is the rare PC game that isn't on Windows. Many games come out on Mac and Linux, but almost never exclusively. If a PC game has a single version that is almost always Windows. So, I think it's fair to group them as subset of PC gaming. As an OS they are both fine ways to run a computer, but not what most think of as PC gaming.
@valorianendymion: It may have been something like a TRS-80 Model 4. Whatever computer it was it would be something for home use in the mid to late 80's.
@valorianendymion: Thanks the wikipedia description sounds like one of those might very well be it. Couldn't tell you exactly which one, but much appreciated.
When I was but a wee lad, I remember my elder brother and his friend playing what I believe was a strategy game set in China. I think you may have been Genghis Khan and were in charge of his army. Anyways I think the game was mainly if not entirely text-based. The monitor was a green monochrome and the computer used tape decks to the best of my memory. Was this a fever dream, is it real, help me duders.
I miss the mailbags. They were a lot of fun, but as has been stated above people just started sending in literal garbage. "Hey GB, here's a pile of shit. I was moving and thought who better to send my garbage to, enjoy." Hopefully they get some good packages and can put one together in the near future.
Just to say, what's been said already I'm enjoying Austin on the Beastcast and on GB. Also his twitter name is "it was me, Austin" which is pretty great.
Look, I've never been to a BWW but from the approximately one-billion ads they have during sporting events it seems like a chain restaurant and bar. If you find a BWW to be to loud and obnoxious I would suggest not going out to bars / restaurants and just watching at home. Have a cold one OP don't worry about other people so much and have a good time out; If you don't like the place I'm sure there are many other bar and restaurants nothing too special about BWW.
