@GIVEMEREPLAY: What's your point? I said those people are wrong. However, people who feel the same anger at the passing of this bill and DON'T make death threats against politicians are totally justified. The government ignored a large portion of the population, there are bound to be crazies mixed in.
The death threats and lies can't be condoned, but the anger is justified. Even if you support the party, I encourage everyone to question the government and it's decisions. Whether you realize it or not, this bill does in fact give the government a lot of power. Being wary of big government is common sense.
As a conservative, I think that bringing healthcare to the poor is a noble goal. However, introducing a massively expensive bill during a time of prolonged recession seems stupid and irresponsible. I'm not even sure that anyone really knows how this will affect the economy. The bill was rushed, and Obama needed it to pass no matter what...his job and his party depended on it. Not exactly the best environment for good legislation.
Anyways, I do hope it works out for the best. I don't really have any other choice, right?
Everyone having access to healthcare sounds great and I hope it works, but pardon me for not having a whole lot of faith in our government's ability to make this work. We just got an extremely expensive bill passed during a drawn out recession, and handed our government even more power in the process. I don't think people should be denied medical treatment, but what happens if this plan falls through?
