Always wonderful to hear Austin's voice on GB, and I'm always happy when Vinny drops by. Thanks to GB for being clear on your stances, and for taking time on the show to talk about current events. Sucks that this is where we have to be, but it's good to see so many people being especially vocal right now.

In other news, I'm kinda into this wild tile shuffling that the call issues caused for the first few minutes - I'm sure it's a pain on the production end but it was kinda fun to watch.

I am very happy for some new Game Tapes, and for a press conference specifically! Always love rewatching these and seeing where we were at back then.

I don't think torches work quite how Abby wants them to work. Lighting an area up will reduce spawns, but you can't light it up to a point where monsters won't go there. The number of torches is a definite overkill and won't stop enemies from coming inside the house.

I did use a modpack in the past that had torches which would actively repel enemies, though. But we'll have to wait until the GB endeavours get so ambitious that they delve into modding for that one.

I've never been much of a movie guy, but I really enjoyed y'all's exploits at Screened. This was a super pleasant trip back down memory lane! I'm glad I was able to be there for that moment in time.

This was super fun, I would definitely watch more of these! I have actually seen very few of these shows but am fairly familiar with most of them and it felt like your arguments in each case were pretty solid. The thing I'll say in Naruto's favour is this: when I was growing up anime was always fundamentally for jerks, but there were plenty of anime that were still accepted as being "cool" or popular (the likes of DBZ and Pokémon).

Naruto was the number one poster child for anime for fuckin' nerds - and this view even held up despite the fact that I basically went to a school for nerds. Yet, despite having perhaps the greatest odds to overcome in terms of the stigma surrounding it, it's probably the anime which has risen most in my estimations over the years as I've seen and heard more about it. The only part of it I've actually sat down and watched in full is the famous Gaara vs. Rock Lee fight, and it genuinely might be the best fight sequence I've seen in any show from just about every aspect - the tactics, the psychology, the discussions from onlookers, and the actual action and animation itself.

Also feature this just made me want to watch several of these shows (not necessarily the first time I've had that impulse, but among the strongest) but I can't even sit down and get through things with 20 episodes so I don't know how I'd manage to begin watching any of these in earnest.

Side note: It's very funny how many people are mad about the candidates here despite the criteria being clearly outlined several times. I'm hoping we get to see more brackets in the future!

I love this SO much. Hearing that theme song takes me right back to memories of when I discovered podcasts and was originally listening to this show back in my first ever job and around that era.

Also, just to speak to the actual format, I absolutely love this. Even if you put aside the Gamespot aspect this is the solid core of GB that has been around since those first weeks, and it makes me indescribably happy just listening to y'all talk shop. I could listen to hours and hours of this stuff, no problem.

Would be rad if you could get Rich in (or indeed any of the old GS crew who might be up for it - Carrie, Greg, R.Mac, Kevin, whoever you got). But also I'd just take more of Brad, Jeff, and Vinny hanging out and shooting the breeze. That's more than enough for me.

I love Alex so much. I've really been enjoying all these solo streams, but between all the truckin' and the drummin' Alex has really made for some of the best accompaniment to my days of late.

This was an absolute joy. I could watch Vinny playing these games forever, and having him show them off to the team was delightful.

@panimu: If they're not for you, that's fine - but the staff are still doing about as many multi-person streams as they would during "normal" weeks, and we're getting all the solo stuff on top of that (which personally I'm really enjoying as it's not something we see often). I'd have been grateful for any content during this weird situation but honestly the GB crew have been going above and beyond so far.
