It's great to have Ben on the podcast. His ability to match energy with everyone on staff is as sharp as ever, and it's always lovely to hear from him generally. Also I'm a fan of Jan continuing to host the show - perhaps this is just because Jeff's still super busy, but he does a fantastic job of it regardless.
I also approve of increased VoidBurger presence on the site.
Mario nonsense aside, this was a great show. Honestly even that was probably worth it for the sheer entertainment value; I don't think much would actually make me care about a Mario movie so I probably got more joy out of seeing people react to these dumbass castings than I would have done if it was something more sensible.
Love me a Jancast! Jan's already got that host energy in the bag. Super excited to hear we're getting the triumphant return of Ben Pack next week - looking forward to that too. Of course congrats and best wishes to Jeff G and the fam! Still a threat.
I enjoyed most of the stuff here! Still don't have a PS5 yet and I'm not about to rush out for one, but when I do get around to it I feel pretty confident that there'll be plenty of stuff to enjoy on it.
I do think there's a bit of a Marvel overload, and it'd be nice to have some idea of when these games are actually coming out but I appreciate that times are extra weird at the moment so I don't mind holding off on announcing dates until you're relatively sure you're going to actually hit them.
I'm super here for this, I actually do very much enjoy Dan's brand of "I haven't learnt ever anything that I didn't need to in the past but now I have gained a curiosity and an increased need for adulting that have combined to encourage me to actually understand the world in some capacity"
