I really dislike that I have to rely on matchmaking to play ranked matches in SFV, does this not bother anyone else? I much preferred the format of either creating a lobby or getting a list of players (and their connection quality), you get games so much quicker that way.

Nash is the only character I've spent enough time to be solid with. I've played a bit of Ryu so he'd probably be my current alt. I really want to pick up Bison though and maybe Karin.

I don't get why people are bothered, did anyone actually set up a one off fight vs the CPU?

It does suck there's no arcade mode though, that's a fighting game standard. The character stories do not scratch that itch either.

Yeah you can use the favorites list as a friends list of sorts I guess. No idea if you can invite people to play off of that or anything though.

A stick isn't going to make anything easier if you're not already used to it. In fact, it'll be quite the opposite.

I already invested in learning how to use it with SF4 and it's my preference now but there were a few weeks/months of frustration adjusting to it. I also made the decision to get the stick after playing the game for a while, I definitely would not recommend spending a load of money on it if there's a chance you'll play the game for a few weeks and be done with it.

Some of the advanced execution stuff (which made owning a stick worthwhile) such as plinking, pianoing isn't even useful anymore in the new game. The only exception is double tapping (which I never do anyway).

TL;DR - only get a stick if you find yourself invested in the game and have also had the chance to be hands on with a stick and find it to be your preference, the old reasons for using an arcade stick no longer apply.

True, but he almost gets a pass as he was the first playable character in Street Fighter. He's supposed to be the generic hero character.

Not knocking anyone who likes Ingrid, but nothing about her from what I've seen seems interesting at all. Not about to flip any tables over if she does appear in the game, I'd rather have her over someone like Blanka.

Not especially that bothered, I'd rather see other characters before her personally. I never played Alpha 3 so dunno how she plays and her character design (aesthetically) is boring, she looks like someone straight out of an anime fighter.

Where's the beta I was promised when I purchased Wolfenstein at? That's gotta be soon, right?
