Assassin's Creed 2 was one of my favorite games of last year, and I was really looking forward to the next one. As great as the AC2 was, AC:B manages to expand an already huge game and make it even better. There is just an enormous amount of things to do, and it also has a really interesting sci-fi story that has me hooked.

The campaign was fairly throw away with the exception of some hilarious dialogue, but really you play Battlefield for the amazing multiplayer. For me this was the best mp game of the year, and I spent countless hours riding around in a tank with my buddies gunning people down. I really like the focus on teamwork and objective play rather than just kill count.

A really fun multiplayer shooter with character, MNC has been one of my biggest time sinks this year. I first played it on the Xbox but have more recently played the PC version which I think is superior. Really addictive gameplay and a good sense of humor.

I'm already a fan of Westerns, and I think RDR ranks right up there with the best films. The game has great characters with outstanding voice performances filling a lengthy campaign. Also one of the best video game endings I've ever experienced to tie it up. I didn't really enjoy the miltiplayer, but really I don't think that tarnishes the campaign at all.

I've been a Blizzard fan since the first Warcraft, so I've been looking forward to this game a long time. Still, somehow it surpassed any expectations that I could have had. The single player campaign was my main focus and I thought they did a really great job with the characters, the cut scenes, and the mission variety. I think the only reason this isn't higher on my list is I'm not really into the multiplayer, it's just not my style (I much prefer shooting dudes in the face.)

A great updating of the classic game, who know how satisfying it could be to line up 30 ghosts and just chomp all the way through them. Great soundtrack and great visuals back up the gameplay and the new focus on the leader boards makes it easy to get sucked into just one more attempt.
